to cool it realy easy you should get 1 inch copper pipe and make a buch of S's then take pvc pipe and cut slots so that you can slide that in so the coper sticks out like 6 inch on each side fill the pvc cap both ends air tite and make shore you have a spot to add water mont in on the front of the truck i should cool it like 20-30 degrees fahrenheit that should work. well it did for me.
yes but the gasoline isn't being sprayed into a large open cavity , the wood gas is being carried to the engine through all that duct work , possibly "hot" duct work ..
Liquid gasoline isn't really flammable to start with , only the fumes ignite , wood gas is all fumes..
you're gonna look awfull silly when you blow yourself up...
@novachevyguy i could blow up but since he has the gas go throught the water i could just make the engen rpm go way up and stall witch is what heppend here im like 60% positive but i dont know how he built it so im not shore
This country imports about 10 million barrels of oil per day at a current rate of 104 dollars per barrel. That is madness. It's a shame that certain people cannot embrace your idea/solution.
Don't give up!In WW2 there were people running on woodgas everyday so it can be done reliably once you have a system down! You'll drive right by "Olduvai" and laugh your butt off in another decade :D
Congrates on your success! Remember tho -- "The Man" is watching. Not only are you not paying road tax but your success threatens "BushCo". Best to hide that gasifier under a non-conspicuous cover. After all, this isn't Sweden. Good luck!

um, possible stupid question here but - what about backfires...?
wouldn't that whole damned thing ( truck and all ) just explode...?
novachevyguy 2 years ago
Do you even know what a backfire is?
darkspell117 2 years ago
yes pal , i know what a backfire is thank you...
but we are talking about combustable gas here , going right into the engine , i see no flame arrestors or blow off valves there...
novachevyguy 2 years ago
what do you think gasoline is?... its a combustible gas going right in to the engine, no flame arrestors, no blow off vales, no nothing.

Ok, so how are you heating the fuel to gasify it?
