In the X collection you still have a risk of failing and having to fight Nightmare Zero (getting the bad ending) even if you have gotten all the parts to both devices (the Enigma or the Space Shuttle). Not sure why that is. Has anyone experienced this before?

I didn't beat any Mavericks and launched the shuttle/cannon, yet Zero didn't do this. And I can still play as him. Also, if the cannon fails but they suggest upgrading the shuttle, Signas describes the other 4 mavericks.
Well Zero is technically not Maverick when he got infected with the Zero virus. It's because Zero was originally compatible with the virus, which is why he gets stronger, instead of weaker. Instead he becomes his original psychotic, persona which laid dormant after the battle with Sigma. *Sigma punched him in the crystal, releasing the virus, but a little bit was still left, so Zero was spreading the virus.* And because Sigma had released the virus at point blank, his DNA became a virus.
Also, if you take too long to defeat Evil Zero (about 2 minutes), he'll continually attack you with Genmurei, a one-hit kill move that hits the whole screen and can only be dodged by using a Giga Attack, until you are dead.
And if that wasn't enough, he's invincible while he uses it.

this is sort of a weird thought but the evil zero version of this scene could actually link into those death scenes well if the zero boss were "after" sigma. and a few lines were changed...
even the x with saber bit could work if it was suggested that x's memory returns

Er...Clement, one thing to say, if you play do the battle for around two minutes(something you would NEVER do), Zero will use an attack called Ittou Ryoudan: Genmurei/Genmu Zero on you. Some people have done this and many have not.
...You know what would be awesome in a replay? If you could manually try to fly the Shuttle into the colony. It would obviously be easier if you got more parts (easier steering, being able to blast debris out of the way, having more health, etc.) Of course, if you got killed in the shuttle and had also failed with the cannon, you'd be put on the path for the bad ending. The cannon's success would still be dictated by random chance. Anyways, that'd be pretty cool, huh?
to be COMPLETELY HONEST i don't like the bad ending and if u read my comment for part 12 you will know why. oh and doesn't zero look like a super saiyan 3 when he becomes maverick becuz i think it is TOTALLY BADASS xD

The Ruby cartoon (Megaman) states that X is discovered in an abandoned warehouse by Dr. Cain, but truly discovered when Dr. Cain was digging (he was an archaeologist) and found "X" in a capsule with a message from Dr. Light (see Megaman X intro). X is a Reploid and collecting the info on X, Dr. Cain made several Reploids (unnamed); Sigma was his greatest creation! Sigma got the Maverick Virus from Zero (see X4).
Loved how you put really clear that Wily was talking that specific time. I would've like that wily would appear in the last part. (X8) (I never played it, so if he DOES appear, It'll really make my day)

three things: 1. if you get maveric zero down to low heath then just wait around without killing him, he starts using an unavoidable attack that INSTANTLY KILLS YOU :O! 2. The true ending is kind of a mix of both; x oviously doesnt forget zero, but in megaman zero 4, area zero is clearly stated to be the place where Eurasia crashed and decimated the human race. and 3. doesnt x's 'ellisium' just SCREAM 'neo arcadia'? :)
Explanation for the Dr. Light thing: He cannot be a Cyber Elf, because Dr. Wily created them, correct? I believe Thomas Light had a hidden capsule under where X was, BOTH times, presuming he was in the same place twice. All Thomas could do was teleport the capsule in a way where X was inside of it. Would this not make sense?
You're not reading too much into it. I can't believe anyone could WRITE this dialogue with a straight face. The gay overtones are so strong that it's flat-out creepy, as you said.
Bad ending? More like sad ending. I felt horrible when I tried getting the bad ending, only to see all of... this. Though the mention of Elysium reminds me a lot about MegaMan Legends.
Also, when Eurasia crashed... the most I could think of was "60% of humans and 90% of reploids were eliminated".

hey anybody realized that when zero is exploding, and when the screen starts to turn white, there's a reddish silhouette of zero dashing out of zero's exploding body.
I am not sure if it's a last ditch attack on X (which explains X's utterance that Zero used Soul Body which we didn't see in the actual battle, or is the red silhouette is actually the "evil" zero virus or whatever it is which possessed zero prior to teh fight?
Maybe Isooc repaired him? He did say that he knows Zero inside out... As if he made/remade him... And he used that magnetic field to capture Zero, a device he could have implemented while repairing him.
PS: I know that Zero was made by Vily lol... So unless Wily is somehow Isooc it must have been repairs.
We can assume it's Isoc, but then why did he tell Gate that he couldn't find the original Zero for their "master plan" if he was the one who repaired him?

Does anybody else think that they could have made this the last game without X6,7,and 8 and have the bad ending as the normal ending and give you something to think about? It would make a epic and dramatic last X game. What do you think Clement?

three things: 1. if you get maveric zero down to low heath then just wait around without killing him, he starts using an unavoidable attack that INSTANTLY KILLS YOU :O! 2. The true ending is kind of a mix of both; x oviously doesnt forget zero, but in megaman zero 4, area zero is clearly stated to be the place where Eurasia crashed and decimated the human race. and 3. doesnt x's 'ellisium' just SCREAM 'neo arcadia'? :)

Explanation for the Dr. Light thing: He cannot be a Cyber Elf, because Dr. Wily created them, correct? I believe Thomas Light had a hidden capsule under where X was, BOTH times, presuming he was in the same place twice. All Thomas could do was teleport the capsule in a way where X was inside of it. Would this not make sense?

Bad ending? More like sad ending. I felt horrible when I tried getting the bad ending, only to see all of... this. Though the mention of Elysium reminds me a lot about MegaMan Legends.
Also, when Eurasia crashed... the most I could think of was "60% of humans and 90% of reploids were eliminated".

wasnt there an ending where x is whit some random reploids and at the end he has the saber?? i dont remeber since i finished whit zero right now and i finished the 3 endings YEARS AGO man im surprised that i got that ending i think becouse i didnt read the stuff and defeated random mavericks at a random order and didnt upgrade things to make the good ending man im so stupid but o well i was a child i dont think he dies on that one if hes body in there all screwed wy not pick him up for repairr??

Mega Man X6 totally screwed up the X series continuity. Instead of dying, Zero apparently went MISSING.
Capcom only rushed that game out so they could have a cheap excuse to bring back Zero and shut the fans up.

hey anybody realized that when zero is exploding, and when the screen starts to turn white, there's a reddish silhouette of zero dashing out of zero's exploding body.
I am not sure if it's a last ditch attack on X (which explains X's utterance that Zero used Soul Body which we didn't see in the actual battle, or is the red silhouette is actually the "evil" zero virus or whatever it is which possessed zero prior to teh fight?
Anybody knows?

@Anonimousz That is the Soul Body attack X refers to. That also occurs in the "good ending" fights, both X and Zero.

Dr. Light repaired X at the end of X5.
Zero was saved by an anonymous source and was repaired.
Technically, they both died, but they got better.

Maybe Isooc repaired him? He did say that he knows Zero inside out... As if he made/remade him... And he used that magnetic field to capture Zero, a device he could have implemented while repairing him.
PS: I know that Zero was made by Vily lol... So unless Wily is somehow Isooc it must have been repairs.
