In Taeyang's MV for his version, that he caught his girl w/ another guy (GD) first, and then he started flirting (dancing in the vid) with other girls to make her jealous - kind of a "this is how it feels for me, that feeling you're having now that I should only be looking at you? That's how I want you to treat ME." - I've never really taken the "he's cheating but he wants her to only look at hime" double-standard thing most people think from it, honestly. It makes sense in an odd sort of way.

I really like the song too, but the problematic thing about the lyrics is that the guy is basically saying "I can do whatever but if you can't even LOOK at anyone else got it?"
And obviously jealousy is a feeling we all have, but I'm worried about this being commercialized as "ok" because a really hot celebrity is singing it in an emotionally relative manner.

My god you guys. It's not like they are going to support cheating on your bf/gf. It's a song made from a feeling that people experience. This song is made to tell a story that they may or may not have experienced but know it exists.
This song and Taeyang's version are made to tell a story. (Plus the other songs in the album of Taeyang's about how love occurs and what couples go through except in a guy's POV)
God...there is no difference if guys or girls sing about it. It is the same idea.

this song is really meaningful, i dont get how you people find this sexist. Everyone does the room thing, this is simply suggesting that even if we actually did something wrong, we still want you to love us. This is how some people feel, and if the girl end up still loving them then good for them. But this isnt all about boys, we want you to love us, but the decision is ultimately depended on the girl, they can act as if they dont care and make the boy chase after them again. Respect

Okay, well come on, I agree with people who say this is sexist. I'm a guy and I think it's wrong too, but like the description says...those feelings EXIST. But on the other hand, there are countless other songs that say nearly the same thing, except it's the girl saying it...and in those songs, the girls are always saying it's okay. So...sexism isn't just against girls, guys experience it too, they just don't want to say it. Like me. =D

i love the tune, but i hate the lyrics, they're so sexist. i know the lyrics don't necessarily reflect what g-dragon thinks or whatever, but i think it's really unfair that men think they can do whatever they want and get away with it...but still expect women to stay faithful to them.

taeyang's version u need to dig deeper to find out wat he's actually saying and the point of the song...gd's version is more straight-forward and easier to understand and not mix up the meaning of both the songs...but i like taeyang's better...his voice his better for these type of songs...just my opinion

i think what he means is that although sometimes his feelings wavers and he forgets about her momentarily, there is nothing deeper towards that other person... his only acting/living in the moment & by doing this he knows he can lead to being unfaithful. He asks her not to be like him (forget him, etc) because he'd like to be her only one lover...

I don't know if I should say GD's version is better or Taeyang's version is better. I think to compare the 2 of them is unfair. Taeyang has got more soul in it and GD has more groove. I like both versions, at least I know that if I want to hear the soulful version, I'll listen to Taeyang and if I want to hear the groovy version, I'll go to GD's version.

Actually, it specifically says "even if I CHEAT" in both versions, haha. I actually think you're sugarcoating it a little bit, but if you're right that actually is the real meaning of the song (just that flirting/feelings exist), then it's no where near as powerful as I thought it was. I have a friend who relates to this song a lot because even though she can be a bit of a player, if someone ever did the same to her, it would break her. She knows it's hypocritical but that's how she feels.
