The so called "classic" toys are cheap looking and don't look nothing like the characters in the movie. No articulation and cheap sculpts.  I, for one, think the new figures are well worth collecting than the older "nostalgic" ones. Keep doing what you're doing Steve and let the haters be haters!

i just got the vintage collection Qui Gon jinn and i feel cheated because the movie heroes didn't have qui gon and cost just as much.

have you looked at that "4+" I also collect action figures. But only old ones from my childhood. That is retro and cool. But buying new toys that is made for kids of today is just geek!

Great review. I guess it took the new camera to make me realize, but you really do have the best figure reviews I've come across. Great lighting, great camera, nice and slow detail shots. I can tell you either know a lot about the figures and history or you do some research before hand. Either way it shows and it really enhances the review and is very informative. You have a pleasant voice and don't babble on or ramble. You also have a good sense of speech and seem very mature. Thumbs up!

Why must a character, like Darth Maul , be used for the package? Why not Boba Fett or stormtrooper. Maybe if they would have kept Maul alive for another episode I would understand .I think this line of figures sucks compared to the vintage collection.

I know its hard to do great facial sculpts in this scale, but the Obi Wan and Qui Gon fall short by today's standards. There should also be saber hilts for the belts. Nevertheless, they are superior to the 1999 product.

Great to see the movie heroes packaging, we've only got the Phantom Menace Vintage figures in Aus so far, I'm sure these aren't too far away. I've picked up the majority of the vintage wave but I'm looking forward to getting some of these to keep carded, for memory-sake.

I'm pretty sure it's just the angle/glare, but around 5:28 the lighting makes it look as if the lightsaber is actually white in the center and green around the edges like in the movies :D It'd be cool if Hasbro could figure out a way to pull that off for real one day instead the solid translucent green/blue colors.

Because the only difference between Movie Heroes & VC is a Jedi Robe, and considering the Vintage figures are more expensive, it's more logical to get this.

Qui Gonn used a grappling hook thing in a Episode 1 deleted Scene, when he Obi-Wan and Jar Jar arrive at the naboo palace in the Bongo/Gungan Submarine he uses it to save him and the others from a waterfall that the bongo goes over.
