I shot a beaver with 12 ga #6 shot. my friend finished him off with a glock 17. they are tough.

My tips would be find were they always are and sit/stand close to the water. If it is a good spot you will see lots of beaver....And if you have anything litter then a 30 30 would be better because you wont scare them as much when you shoot. And boats are always handy... good luck buddy

we shot a huge beaver yesterday like at 3 in the morning it had to have been over 140 pounds we hit it with a lil .22 in the back went in the water shot it again and ran in to the marsh and it was screaming hella weird....in aarizona ....
