Wow! This looks really good and I like your personal sound affect Aha! I'm a teacher learning about game development as I have a 10 wk course to teach to newbs. Your vids have been very useful. Thanks. PS Did u make your graphics?
You should check out Python when you get the chance, it is a very very nice language.
Unfortunately, it is also rather slow (even by scripting language standards), but still nice to get to get stuff written quickly yet elegantly. For game programming I'd stick with C++ though :-)
You don't really need to research anything. You're using tiles right? Try to make the enemies travel along a certain "tile path"(like from tiles 1,1 to 1,10 to 2,10). From here you can modify the "tile path" so that it leads to the player (this might need some research).
This is awesome! Wish you didn't abandon it!

I'm not sure what's more amusing. The sound effects, or the fact that you made them. :p

Ah, thanks!
Yes, I made all of these graphics. Most of those are public domain and can be found on my website.

I was thinking of trying out LUA for a scripting language since that's what Falco and my friend Claus use. o.0

For a scripting language, i do Pawn. Very similair to C, and very easy.

Yeah... I guess doing SOMETHING is better than doing nothing. @_@

How are you doing AI/path finding? For a map this small, you probably could get away with straightforward recursion.
jSaurabh 3 years ago
Y'know, working on this I had realized that I haven't actually ever done any AI coding, so I will have to research different methods. >.>

Cool.
I like your voice sample that you used for the sound effect of picking up the daggers. ; )

Haha, what else could have possibly been said when picking up lethal pointy things?!
LusikkaMage 3 years ago
Depends on how you pick them up. Some people might go *ouch*
