You keep mentioning barter... Barter isn't mentioned in the law. Barter is the answer. Fed reserve notes are worthless anyway. Trade goods for goods secondhand. Truly untraceable and un-taxable by the authorities.
Just because a law is passed does not mean that it cannot be challenged. This law can be struck down in court. Federal Reserve notes are Legal Tender and the States must comply with Federal Law. This was to keep States from printing their own money but it can now be used in your favor. A State cannot do this unless it is no longer in the Union.

I think the only thing that really upsets them, and the job market, is not that you can record and share things but the physical medium like blank discs or cassettes are less used or no longer used so it hurts them. Before they could sell you blank discs and recorders...now it's a pirated program with no physical medium. That does hurt the jobs of our country. Artists, video stores, printers, shippers, second hand shops. Sucks really.
