I don't believe what he says. I checked out William Bradford on Wiki and it said nothing about socialism or communism. And I hate how Republicans keep bringing up socialism like the Democrats are a communist party. It's the same bullshit that McCarthy pulled in the 50's.

Also it's a big lie that socialism can never work or has never worked. The Linux operating system is part of the free software community and it runs faster, is more stable, and more secure than Windows which you pay for.

If you'll notice the church at jerusalem tried a form of communalism...it didn't work...just cause it's in the bible doesn't mean Goid commanded it...now paul had to go round the gentile churches getting money for those at jerusalem cause evidently some of the folks in jerusalem weren't working either...now the israeli kabbutz works...but they trade with the outside...it's more of an extended family working a farm and if you don't work u don't eat.

So what he saw was considered dysfunctional and saw supposed issues that werent necessarily problems for the pilgrims

They did not manage to survive because there was a different "economic" environment brought unto them by the colonists which obviously made their original way of thinking useless and not because it was impractical from the beginning
