I know I can be a bit slow sometimes and this is probably the 20th time I've listened to this song but it's just occurred to me that I think the 40 year old woman he's singing about IS actually hip-hop. I always found the lyrics a bit strange and could never figure out the story behind this relationship he had with this older woman but now it makes sense to me that hip-hop and this woman are one and the same. If that's the case, for me, that takes this song to a whole new level of genius.

Nick is good friends with astro, and he told me before astro got the dr.dre beats, he had sonys if u look at 2 preformances before. so hes advertising sony, but L.A reid bought him the dr.dres and he loved them so much he wore em on stage. and Dre and sony are rivals, and sony had to pay a huge fine, so they punished astro by putting him into the bottom 2.
