second:bach never teached interpretation - bach allways teached improvisation - and if you want to "follow" bach spirit you have to be able to improvise this stuf.
who inn the fuck told you that? Have you read at all about bach? How he would spend literally weeks in his study writing and doing nothing else. idiot
You can call him mechanical, it's your choice. I prefer to think of him as being well honed. You may also take into account he can play 12 hours straight without missing a note or playing the same piece and there are maybe 6 players in the world who can do this.
To cocofuria's reply...I seen John Williams in person...Yes he has perfect technique...I think he has good feeling too...His tone production is proof of that...I seen many good guitar recitals, but John Williams is unique...The worlds classical guitar aficionados always vote him #1...Everybody knows that technical perfection on the classical guitar is the biggest hurdle to overcome, and to do it in front of big audiences is even more amazing.
Full of Wonder! I think this is one of the better versions of this song on you tube. If you want to hear a robotic emotionless version check out Jamesfenn's interpretation... mind you he's not famous like John Williams and I give him credit to pull it off in one take[with a few mistakes].
I think Aquasonora's version is the best but unfortunately he makes a few mistakes. The kid YangXinshuo is pretty darn good and then there's Eliot Fisk's version which I think is too fast.
t is morally wrong to kill other people so you can play guitar like John Williams, and he would not want you to do that. Please do not kill anyone so you can play guitar like him.
If you killed the rest of the human race, you couldn't play like that .... and you know it. That's why we talk about him and he plays. The sound is poor though.
to thejugglenaut91: ..if u would b a musician u would understand what i talkin about ... :-)
.. of course bach improvised his music ..
-..it's a pity that u have such a rude /and brazen/ art of comunication -

not bad after 30 years playing the same notes -
..but it is finally or at last only interpretation..
..you wonna see/hear something realy innovative - ..how to improvise bach or mozart ..?!
look for video : "bach sarabande jazz guitar"
or go to renatorozic dot com /audio/bach or audio/mozat..
..you ll be surprised/astonished !

It's the recording. There are better versions elsewhere on YouTube.

the tuning change at around 01:00 is an inside leg loaded whammy bar, which is why he is sitting down.:)
