this seems comparable to a 90hp boxer of old. I like it, as diesel at 150hp, has a torque realm where gears aren't even needed to change through hills...coupled with a boxer, it makes inlines even dumber.
If you look carefully, at the start it's about halfway up. That means a momentary consumption of about 5l/100km. When i start accellerating, it goes to it's highest position, wich means 10liters or over.
And since this is one-gear pull it stays there for almost all the time in this video, except for the last few seconds when i ease of the gas.
Aight, I thought the green field shows economical consumption, what meant the more the arrow goes to the right the higher consumption is. Btw this is a nice gadget that helps to save fuel.
diesel engines reach a lot less revs than unleaded gas ones do, that's why many of them include turbo chargers to improve their performance most don't have a good acceleration but this Subaru seems awesome i own a legacy but its not diesel...
god a these people with diesel subaru's will not put there foot into they think they are going to break it or something I want to hear the engine does it sound like the gas engines
Look at my other video: Subaru Boxer Diesel Rev. I think it sounds a lot like a petrol engine when revving. When you give it gas while driving there's also a sound from the turbo.
Thank you! I still have to wait about a month for my own diesel to arrive. I'll probably film more clips when it comes. The car-dealer will get suspicious if i take the demo-car out for the 4th time...
By far one of the most comfortable cars I've ever sat in.

nice stereo sound on the camera.... ummm we just wish you closed your window so we could hear the ENGINE

@youngbleeb Yeah, i know...
But the next time i remember to take my camera with me when i go for a drive i'll try to find a good place to film a similar clip with my own car.
This video was filmed with a demo-car from a dealer so when i noticed my mistake with the window i didn't have the car available to film it again.
For those next 22 months i have had a diesel Legacy of my own i have no excuse, other than that there hasn't been that many requests for the audio...
