@marooned34 Watch the other wild tank video on my channel for a more updated view. The heater is gone, now have inline heaters hooked to the canister filters. No plants, never! No plants apart from floaters in a discus biotype!! :)
No, what you find in the Amazon is discus living in billions of gallons in the largest freshwater river in the world, which is very different from a 100g tank. See the video. The festivum are fast and agressive taking he food,. The discus are shy in the background. You have wonderful discus. Let them be the center of this beautiful tank. Just my two cents.
Wonderful wild discus and set up. I suggest, however, taking out the festivums and other similar fish. They can get agressive, especially during feeding. Make it a discus tank, not a busy community tank.
@DiscosBR Thank you. Its however a biotype tank and this is what is found in the wild with discus. So far they've shown no interest or aggression towards the discus and its actually the most peaceful tank i've kept. I've kept plain discus tanks for years, needed a change and went biotype...glad I did!
i was wondering if you were using an Eheim filter and if you are what do you think about it
