  • The bit that got "The Final Countdown" stuck in 60 peoples heads for a month.

  • You NEVER cease to AMAZE me!!!

    XOXOX

  • What a fantastic skit you did, I love it! Sounds like your audience did too.

  • hey kari that rules! i thought you meant to kick off the last hoop at the end, what with the 'blast off' sign and all. yay revolva!

  • aaaaabsolutely awesome!!!!!!!

  • Super fun-tastic! Amazing performance.

  • You have enough stage presence for ten people. You are an amazing hooper, to be sure, but you are also one incredible performer.

  • awesome performance kari! i get so sucked in and although i'm watching it on youtube i feel like i'm apart of it!!

  • OK, others have pointed out how great this performance is (and it is awesome!), but no mention of that sexy silver outfit your wearing?!? Hot hot HOT!!! =)

Hee hee! Miss you, Revolva! Kisses!

  • Actually, it reminds me of something that YOU would wear while playing the violin. Only your version would probably have more holes cut out of it -- like those pants that Prince used to wear. :) Miss you, too. Tell Detroit I said hi and that I'm waving to it right now.

  • Great fun, Revolva. I love the connection you had to your audience and of course you skills are amazing!

  • omfg Revolva you have mad skillz. I've seen another hooper do a two hoop one handed isolation before, and it was unbelievable. Is there any way you could post a tutorial on how to do one? I have absolutely no idea how the physics of that works...also you did an epic pizza/halo toss that I'm super jealous of. I've tried so many times to do one and I fail :(. I'll keep trying though, eventually I'll get it. Awesome costume and breathtaking performance! Kudos! ~Hoopla~

  • Thanks, Glenda! I give total glory to Dustin Hubel, though. I learned the two hoop one-handed isolation from him. I will say that one hand is isolating, a hoop is hanging off the wrist of that hand, and it just takes lots of constant practice to get the wrist hoop to orbit in tandem w/ isolation. I'd feel odd making a video on what DUSTIN broke down for me, though. I should refer you directly to him. You can search for him on tribe, if you're on there. Big props to Dustin; one of my idols.

  • That was a beautiful performance, dear!! Your amazing skills shine through and that jumpsuit looks gorgeous on you! Loved this through and through.

  • This is awesome!! Seriously. You are an excellent example of someone who can share their skill of hooping in many different styles. Thumbs up for versatility!!

I hope you don't mind that I'll be referencing this video in my online performance class. You've hit so many key lessons that I'll be teaching.

    Well done!!

  • Lesson 1: Make total fool out of self, through costuming and theme, Lesson 2: Drop hoop and pretend, "I didn't even just do that, yo!", Lesson 3: Repeat lesson 1 for 5 minutes. :)

Ha ha. Curious what you're saying, but no - I don't mind. Your videos have been blowing my MIND lately, especially thread the needle variations. I can't even tell wtf you're doing. It's the least I can do to give something back to you. Looking forward to meeting you in person soon, sista.

  • hehe

Thanks hun! You're a sweetheart. Will you be at FLOW?

  • Trying to figure something out. Budget's only issue because I'm also going to Fire Drums and then HoopCon just after Flow. So even though it's only a few hours away from where I live, it'll still cost me $200 entry and lodging and ... stuff. Been super busy, so I haven't figured out event's schedule yet. Maybe I can at least jump over for a jam or some of it? Knowing you'll be there's a definite incentive. :)

  • Do what you can. I would love to go to Fire Drums... ; (

I'll be taking several trips to the States in the coming months. Are you in Detroit?

  • I tried to respond to this, but I don't think it went up. Anyway, no, I used to live in Detroit, but I left in 2006 -- now I live in Portland, Oregon. That's closer to you, so look me up any time you're down this way. Also, I've been trying to get to Vancouver to hang out with Alley 'Oop (I met her at Convergence last year; she's rad). So maybe we could also unite in Canada sometime.

  • Wow you are amazing! I totally loved every second of this :)
