mine leaked heaps but it wasnt the shaft, it was leaking around the join of the jet unit where it screws onto the back of the boat, ran some glue around that and now it good. i also had to make a scoop under the jet to channel the water in because on the first run it cavitated too much
@kenrodziewicz i have the same problem with mine!! the tube you installed, was it a bit larger with a bushing at each end and filled with grease? this is what im thinking of doing! just like a normal prop shaft stuffing tube. i keep putting grease in the jet drive but it still leaks.
@MrPenutboy It is pretty easy just swap the old motor out with the new one, pull out all the old electrics. install your brushless ESC. The hardest part is to put the servo in for the sterring, you have to use abit of hot glue to keep it in place as there is no other way to mount it.

Does it leak, mine does , cant stop it, through the shaft even put a metal shaft lining in, and cant stop the water comming in.

It seems to handle to extra power quite fine so i just left it.

I will say one thing it is very well worth putting a brushless in as it is so much more fun.
This video was filmed with only a 7.4V battery, i also have 11.1V batteries for it and they make it even faster
