I have to agree with most of the people on here about this. Paul Black just doesn't have the voice. That's probably why he didn't end up working out in the early days. I just can't take LA Guns seriously without Phil Lewis. On the other hand, I don't think I could bring myself to see the Phil Lewis LA Guns w/out Tracii. It's just wrong. There is only ONE viable LA Guns and they were one of the very best bands of their time. One of the few bands that I continued to listen to throughout the 90's

this guy paul black got busted with izzy from guns n roses with heroin from mexico. then got shit canned from la guns. izzy and gnr already had a record deal i think the record company saved his ass?

Phil Lewis has such a distinctive voice, and Tracii Guns has a very distinctive sound as well. dam i wish they'd set aside their differences and get back together.
I saw this version of LA Guns about 2 years ago, it was easily one of the best shows I've ever seen, but still, they're not anywhere near as good what I know as the Real LA Guns.
yes, tracci and steve both own the name, and the thing in the firts cd about steve is right,(he didnt record, but he toured in the very first tour of the guns) but still, he owns the half of the name, and phil is the voice in those records. like Acekicken, phil is the voice that I recognize in the Guns.
But this is not as bad as some people have made it out to be...
And since Paul wrote the majority of the songs that made LA Guns famous it is cool to hear him get the chance to sing them. He even wrote songs that are on Cocked & Loaded like Never Enough
...yes, Paul deserves the chance, I think that his tone voice is for more than just play 20 year old songs... still think that tracci left the band, so this couldnt be LA Guns. good for Paul, he now got the credit that he deserves; now he can move on w/o the shadow of LA Guns.
Without Phil Lewis, it is garbage.

The band has split in half and there are two LA Guns out and on tour and both have a lawsuit against the other for the use of the name.
