I love hard rock and blues. But you need to broaden your horizons. There are much better guitarists out there in jazz, classical and folk. Only a few rock guys like Hendrix and Clapton truly belong on this list. I love Jimmy Page. But his playing is way too sloppy to be considered the best.

Herman Li is in a popular band taking away from his legendary status..kinda like Van Halen...but Herman Li has taken the guitar playing to a different plain and can outplay Van Halen easily.
