maurice is overrated now. he says "you know" every other line and looked HELLA BORED most of his scenes. he seems to only get into the heavy emotional stuff, but sometimes a good actor is one that can play a "normal" scene with deep subtlety. maurice also has no chemistry with laura wright or other key actors. he should have left after his s/l with vanessa. that was his heyday and it's been downhill since then.

No offense to Maurice Bernard, but he is in NO position to be telling anyone that their acting "sucks." What the hell happened to Maurice, anyway? He was a pretty good actor back in the day. These days, every other word out of Sonny's mouth is "ya know" and it often sounds as though Maurice forgets his lines. I am just being honest.

Thank-you tinytvfan! There is more to this interview, but this was all I could salvage off of my old VHS tape (thanks to my puppy who likes to chew on everything I own) I'm trying to find another copy. I've seen several people selling them online but only on VHS. I don't even own a VCR anymore. If I should be lucky enough to find one on DVD I promise I'll snatch it up and upload the rest.

The cast photo at 2:18 - love it! Loved this whole video. I have loved VM and BB since her first day on GH, and S&B are my all-time fave soap couple. Totally agree w/your comment about her having chemistry w/everyone she works with, but Maurice was certainly the standout. Loved when she said she felt a lightning bolt when she met him! As much as GH needs her, she no longer needs them, and in my opinion a return would be a step backwards for her. The show just isn't what it used to be.

Yeah, the show sucks now! I want her to come back because I think she is the only one who can make it worth watching again (at least for me) but I know that she probably has tons of offers to do all kinds of things and I wish her nothing but the best in her career. I just miss my Brenda.

@CerezaAmor1987 thank you! his acting right now on GH, for eg, is quite horrible. i only appreciate scenes with vanessa because of their chemistry. and he has his quirks, like his wide mouth movement that is SO ODD. the best actor on GH is tony geary and genie francis. i think maurice is overrated and vanessa is underrated.
