A communist government control the factors of production. Also COMMUNISM eliminates the private sector. Therefor, the public sector, government, controls the economy. The idea of a Utopian communism is beautiful. It causes "success" to be not how much money you have, but how useful you are to society. It sucks that human nature is to be greedy and corrupt, or else a system like this would be amazing. You can actually find communist communities all over the internet. People sharing knowledge, art, and various other things for nothing but a sense of recognition among the community they contribute to. It's a wonderful thing really.
@kornsoadhts human nature is not to be geedy and corrupt, this is all done through whatever social conditioning you have from cradle to grave. even if you have a greedy or corrupt personality type, you can be re-conditioned to un-do this thought process. psychology is amazing.
@xArmyxFiancex1990 That's an interesting statement. Do you think that a society will ever exist that follows such Utopian form without corruption from it's neighbors? I'd imagine they'd have to be completely isolated, which would require government interference, thus breaking the whole concept of true communism.

@kornsoadhts yes it certainly can exist. and my username does seem pretty ironic, but its only because i cant change it. my ex fiance of a few years ago was in the military(i bet you can guess why that relationship failed).
the new world order is supposed be a communist world i think. the world has been tricked into thinking that those countries you listed in the beginning are communist. >.<
@WR3cklez well, the cold war, for example, was really a war betweent two different ideologies of captialism and socialism. so the US did everything that they could to make communism appear to be the worst idea in the world, becuase if communism were a good idea, the rich people might have to give up some of their money so that the homelessness rate would go down...anything but that!!! *rolls eyes* the US, Britain, and Canada are evil motherfuckers. never let them fool you

but I just don't get how communism is stateless. the concept of private property emerges in a society as a way to deal with other people, the only way you can abolish private property is with a state is it not?
