Multi 60's Aussie Champ in MX and RR/sidecars and later car-racer, Geoff Taylor, of Dandenong MC's in Vic, MX:d in mid-60's a Cotton/Starmaker for Athol Patterson MC Springvale Vic after their Triumph Metisse, and the bike broke in half after a jump one day, probably scrapped. Good engine, very good actually, but crap bike. Typically British, ol' chap! (They only ever did half the job?) My DOT was much better, RR of MX.
Hi mate, nice bike. Its not for sale by any chance is it? I've got a greeves scottish and a dot demon scrambler myself but always on the lookout for another bike!
sorry its not for sale i have 16 greeves icollected them from the age of 14 ! now 36 years old now ! even brought one off frank conely stood in his driveway ! theres six challengers there ! there all rotting away its a crying shame ! honest
Well that sounds like a good collection! Do you know much about the frame numbers on greeves then? Iv seen a greeves with the frame numbers..59/1753...does that make it a 1959 24SAS? I've looked in my greeves book but can't really figure it out? Your expertise would be much appreciated!
Hi greeves246, it`s a Cavalier experts trials, Minarelli engine, has alli` tank, and separate seat, (not the fibre glass seat/tank unit.)all orginal.) bought new from Ron Parkers, Wood street, Taunton... still in very good condition...but has not ridden for years..
I HAVE SEEN THER WORKS MINARELLI COTTON IT HAD A SPACER UNDER THE BARREL SO IT HAD A LONGER STROKE AND BIGGER cc ! RARE BIKES THOUGH I HAVE A GREEVES PATHFINDER 175 !
father has said if it runs due to the delicate nature of the ring system on the pisto it will blow up so he wont start it hes draind it of oil as well ! to stop me but i have a 24 mcs i will start for you in due corse !

lovely!
Can we hear it run?
is the exhaust really short?
Is it a villiers engine?
What kind of rpm do villiers motocross engines run at at peak power?
6500rpm ish?
what the power delivery like?
noticable power band like race engines?
