True Faith was the song that got me into New Order - and it was also the song that led me to other indie bands and alternative music. Absolutely fantastic song, and an absolutely fantastic band - at least in their early days (pre Gillians departure).

That's because you like the typical harder sound of countless other covers of New Order songs. Either make it harder and tougher with lots of guitar or use acoustic instruments and slow the songs down. Just take a look at Blue Monday from Orgy for the more hardcore version of a New Order song or Bizarre Love Triange from Frente! for an acoustic version. Very typical.

I would say that New Order were influenced (or ripped off!), Tears For Fears. The chorus of True Faith are the same chords as Mad World, and Everything's Gone Green sounds very similar to Pale Shelter.
