@felipepumas - Arnold Layne was a legendary Cambridge psychologically disturbed washing line thief - Syd Barrett was writing about a man who stole women's underwear from washing lines, for purposes of self-gratification (while wearing it). That should help you understand all the words. Sent to prison for it. 'Chain gang' is poetic licence, there are no chain gangs in British prisons! I don't think there was one real Arnold Layne, but a few undie-sirables.

Which particular tracks? There are three or four tracks on Emerant Lea that I can't do at all now (they would need a lot of practice - and maybe experimenting with instruments and strings for the same response), and some which I play regularly and work fine on many different guitars.
