only thing he needs to do is stay on his toess and twist them when he punches, move his head a lil more, and attack from different angles but hes not a fighter hes a fitness expert so dnt try to insult him
@scotthermanfitness this doesn't even qualify as a workout either tho.... it's not 3 min straight technique training... it's obviously not a 30 second punchout drill... nor a 1 minute power boxing drill.... I don't get it, but okay... maybe yea, stick with weight demos... I usually use exrx.com, but I've decided to check some of your stuff out for diversity. I just need to find a cardio guy.. for workout supplementation. I found an epic core tuber, lol
@scotthermanfitness good job hitting the bag, it's a good few technical glitches I could point out on boxing technique (hand striking) ...but all in all, it was alright, it wasn't as bad as alot of folks do without knowing how badly they suck... it wasn't nothing competition class lol, but solid, good enough technique to work out with and beat up a few guys smaller than you. Work on your squat form, I imagine you don't do too heavy squating from your form on one of your 2 vids I've now watched.
@pmull0011 iv noticed the load ups too. hes built but needs allot of work on technique. i always see that with built guys. his elbows lack cover along with his hands closed when its thrown. he also tends to drop his guard a bit and doesn't bring his hands back all the time when boxing. but still better then most people you see posting up videos.
@pmull0011 ya you cant really judge if its for exercise. hes at least got boxing down all in all and uses his hips and saw some decent foot work. even most mma guys are sloppy with those basics. some times i see a glimpse of those guys on tv and its like nails on a chalk board. seen some good fighters every now and then.
@muaythaijunky he also doesn't snap and recoil his punch as he should... in boxing, as quick as it goes out, you need to get it back to WHEREVER you punch from just as quickly... he also doesn't put the proper torque into his hooks... boxing technique is a bit more intricate than folks think for full speed/power shots. He bows his elbows out before sending out the shot, making the trajectory less straight and dynamic.... plenty technique things... but that's completely unfair to get into.. he ok
to answer ur question why wud u wanna waste time throwing a punch when u cud just throw that elbow in there.....? because u have more reach with a punch, thus the punch reaches them quicker, so ur not wasting time, ur actually quicker......that elbow wud suck to get hit with yes, but it is really telegraphed someone that knows what they are doing wud crack u with a straight, 3 is a hook big white is correct, a hook wud be a much more effect punch than an elbow.but yeah the elbow wud hurt

For the people saying his technique is shit, it's not. It's very good for someone who's a model. Not saying he would win in a muay thai fight but very good for some that doesn't participate in muay thai training. He's very wild, especially with his head, that's why he missed the bag. Also he should really work on his legs they are rather small and probably pretty weak also. At least compared to what they should be. We are the same height but he weighs in at 170 and I way 198. But he's a model ..

Not like you'd ever read this but i'll say it anyways. Your stance, hands all that stuff seems solid ( i even saw some deccent pivoting). But all you do is move forward, you finish a combo and your left off balance and vulnerable. There's other directions you can move in other than forwards. Try them.

i knew this guy was into mma when i seen how he always does the hsss breathing when lifting weights. same goes for mma when throwing punches, it helps bring exploding momentum to the muscles when breathing that way
@Shawndakilla Umm no it doesn't help bring "exploding momentum" whatever that is. By forcing your breath out when punching it forces you to inhale afterwards. That way your always breathing. You don't want to hold your breath and run out of steam half way through a combo. LOL but nice try. Wow people should have to take a boxing crash course before they start mma...

Bas Rutten's MMA workout is the way to go, no matter wheater u are amateur or pro, it's great cardio exercise overall. Also if u have no bag, combinations are made so u can shadow box and only that will make u really tired. As far as hand wraps/gloves, everything has been explained in couple of comments before.

as a Muay Thai coach i have 2 things to say : please put gloves on otherwise you are gonna hurt your hands (boxing or MMA gloves with wraps or at least wraps to secure your wrists) and also try throwing that elbow over the top its going to be more fluid. Props for your interest in MMA
Don't push with your punches, in and out same speed so your defenses aren't down while your arm is out. Probably the only fitness advice I will ever be able to give you, let me know when you want to learn some kicks :b

I have to agree with some of the others on here about the possible injuries this could breed. Regardless of the person's skill level, striking the bag with no gloves or wrist support is just asking for injuries. I have no problem with the concept just the way it is shown.
Wrap your wrists next time, hitting that bag hard so many times without wrist support is just begging for an injury :| Not trying to sound smart, but you can really hurt your self, hitting that hard.

I have to agree with some of the others on here about the possible injuries this could breed. Regardless of the person's skill level, striking the bag with no gloves or wrist support is just asking for injuries. I have no problem with the concept just the way it is shown.
