An observation: Yes Brian's singing, he's in the video...but I'm willing to bet that he was not in the studio when they filmed the video. He's never in the same shot. The 1st part shows him sitting in a seperate room. Then during the 2nd part (where they're on "stage") it LOOKS like he's there with them, but when the camera comes back and films the whole group singing...he's not there. Check out the video for Tammy Wynette's version of "In My Room"...same grey shirt, same hair, same studio.

Great Tune!!!!.... Had my '64 Chev. Impala SS when this was a big hit back in June of 1964.... It was on the charts for 6 weeks and got as high as 24.... You take this tune and play the original....it's hard to pick which one is better.... 5 part harmony-Eagles and The Beachboys, can't ask for anything better.... Who is the fourth man in the studio? There's Mike, Bruce, Carl and then someone I don't recognize. Brian is in another room. The fourth man is way too tall to be Al Jardine. Does anyone know who that is?

The fourth man - one of the background singers is Matt Jardine...one of Al Jardine's sons. Al also is in the video around 2:43 and Mattt around 0:42. Matt is very good with the high vocals and sounds very much like Brian Wilson. Matt is in Al Jardine's band...saw them at the Las Vegas Cannery Hotel/Casino earlier this year. They were very good.

The music CD featuring Lorrie is called "Beach Boys - Stars and Stripes". on River North Records, released in 1996. I have the promo version with 6 tracks.

I also have a VHS tape (now converted to DvD) of most of the TV special of Stars and Stripes. I presume it was released on DvD at some time, but I've never seen it for sale.
