I believe she says hola as just a casual greeting like many non-fluent Spanish speakers do. As for the "being mixed" issue: in most cases, if you're Filipino, your blood is not isolated to one nationality. There's usually a bit of Spanish and/or Asian in Filipinos. For the most part, she's from the Philippines so shes Filipino.
