  • @ColdOasisU2 at least we can spell properly when insulting others ahahah

  • @longbongotimee I can type ,,n'' so easily on my keyboard.

  • @ColdOasisU2 well don't count me among them. i adore glam rock but continually mock glam metal. although i ADMIT i enjoy some early kiss

  • If you like this song and you love METAL...(who doesn't) you will love Danzig's version. Try it once and be hooked forever!

  • @bigmacok totally agree. Danzigs version is top notch

  • @charliegrs That's true...

  • I like the Melvins' cover of it better than GnR's.

  • Rock out to it babiessss

  • @SypherDubstep i did. xD

  • don't know about anyone else, but i think it kinda sound like children of the revolution

  • Wow Wow what a ring tone

  • 2 'P' for "Def Leppard". Thank you.

  • i didn,t mean heavy metal.just plain ol.e heavy

  • old school, brings back memories, too heavy for normal folk

  • @yarborg1 right its old school but its hardly heavy, compared to alot of stuff its really not at all

  • buick,will u be my gal

  • beautifully orchestrated song!

  • I luv both

  • one of teh first albums I ever bought; still resonates all these years later. Great music

  • la versione dei guns n roses mi piace di più

  • A FUCKING RIFF TO DIE FOR...

  • Hello above Mchz, your comment sounds as from Wayne's World, dude.

  • Im a huge guns n roses fan but this is waaaaaaaay better original has nothing to do with it this guy is a badass

  • Hey, did everyone came to this video just to curse Guns n' Roses? Get a life! Guns n' Roses is awesome so is T. Rex!

  • @augustusalex The big difference is Marc Bolan considered himself a poet, as Dylan. Old Axl is a narciscus, having in my mind less talent and appeal the Bolan.

  • @iddottaw We are talking about music, not ego! If music is based on someone's ego then Van Halen sucks!

  • He is perfekt to play and sing and write

  • guns n roses are a parody of themselvesso shit

  • marc looks a lot like a young paul stanley in that picture, ive notice some of the older kiss videos, i think paul tried to look like marc, and he took a lot of his stage actions and movements from marc as well.

  • Oh my, this tune sounds very much like Stevie Wright's "Evie" (1974). I wonder if anyone else noticed? IMHO, Stevie had nothing on Marc.

  • Love this song, always been amazed at how HEAVY it is! Perfect hard rock back in 1972... Marc Bolan was a genius.

  • woah i always thought this was a Guns song !

  • i was ten and bought this album cause it looked cool,n i still listen over 30 years laier

  • i remember visiting my buds the french canadians the older bro,s teach me this

  • bolan > slash

  • I am now officially listening to this fellow Too Much. Bolan kicks ass six ways to Sunday. Talk about an overlooked group. Man.

  • GREAT Track By T.Rex....Also>... Gun's N Roses Copied This Track on the Spaghetti Incident Album .[ It Was a COVER Album].. ALSO ''Hair of the DOG'' Is a Great Remake..On that Album by Nazareth...

  • so many great songs MARC gave us,and they only ever play one.

  • @dimebagdave77 I'd only heard That One and Slider (which I didn't even know was T but suspected) before last night when I bought a BBC 1 import of a 1970 broadcast (the Tyrannosaurus Rex flipped-out folkie incarnation). Needless to say I've been here pretty much all day, Bolanizing. Gimme time, man, I'm catching up here!

  • @donnpatc didn't mean any disrespect,i was talking about classic rock radio.all they ever play is Get It On and that's very seldom.i didn't hear any of the other great songs until i started to dig a little, like you're doing now.i'll leave you to it because i know you're having fun!don't forget Jeepster,Ride A White Swan and Planet Queen.hard to pick just a few!

  • @dimebagdave77 Ha ha, "classic rock" radio could use a little bit more of our disrespect. Done what you listed and more (for the first time anyway. OK, for the second third fourth and you get the idea). "Telegram Sam" sounds like Bowie wrote it! Listening now to "Tyrannosaurus Rex Live in Concert" from BBC One. It's his folk side but grows on you. Fun, I am having!

  • @dimebagdave77 ACtually i've heard Metal Guru, Children of the Revolution, and a track from Tanx album that were aired.

  • I love Marc but I am not going to hate on GnR. Slash was a big Marc fan and that was a good thing.

  • The reason Bowie is bigger is because he has done it all. Classic melodies. Glam Rock many many genres. Sure T.Rex are brilliant but they only did glam rock.

  • the drumming on this is fantastic

  • hell yeah!damn fine song I been searching for on u tube for for ages-diff spelling of T rex

  • Bowie NEVER did anthing like this.

  • @hearditman I agree with you.Bowie is too overrated, plus he keeps a lot of inspirations from Marc, whic is underrated.

  • @hearditman moonage daydream fag breath

  • @StephenRoddy Sorry Stephanie but Moonage Daydream don't cut it, now run along.........

  • @hearditman My Full Name is Stephania R Coolness you would do well to adress me as such worm-bitch. And for the record, Santa Clasue doesn't exist HA pwned...

  • @StephenRoddy What's the R stand for....Retard? An wtf has this to do with Santa?

  • WOW, this is rocking!!! I gotta get this.

  • Danzig's version of "Buick McKane" is the best.

  • this is so much better than g'nr version, also, soundgarden origial version of big dumb sex is better than g'nr cover...........

  • that guitar is absolutely amazing...timeless

  • how bout buick and big dumb sex superb

  • Gawd I love how Marc Bolan writes such hypnotic songs and i love how he howls in his sings amazing

  • Why the fuck hasn't Buick made a badass car called the Mackane? Seriously. It would rock.

  • Thank you GREAT BRITAIN for giving birth the finest rock groups in human history: THE BEATLES THE ROLLING STONES LED ZEPPELIN (my very favorite) THE WHO T-REX NAZARETH BLACK SABATH QUEEN PINK FLOYD SLADE DEF LEPARD IRON MAIDEN Greetings from Mexico!!!
  • ...and ACDC too!!! (how could I forgot it???)

  • @LEGIONARIO1970 The Beatles SUCK. LOL.

  • I don't think so, lol.

  • @LEGIONARIO1970 and oasis :)

  • @LEGIONARIO1970 lol, Slade.

  • @lankinator24

    You don't like SLADE?

  • @LEGIONARIO1970 Oasis too!

  • @LEGIONARIO1970 You're welcome mate.

  • @LEGIONARIO1970 You forgot Oasis, but yes, agreed. :)

  • @van1980 And Sweet. And others :)

  • @LEGIONARIO1970 u can add Slash too..long live the queen lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fuck yeah!!!, this sounds awesome, I like G&R's version too but this just blew my mind!!!

  • its great just to play along with the songs from this album

  • I like this version way better than GnR's

  • @Daranny Yes, this is the man who wrote the song, and his band T-rex played it.

  • @Daranny Well yeah, it is the original. And its a pretty darn cool song!

  • @Daranny each version has it's own charm.Usually it's polite to say "In my opinion.." or "I prefer...". Haven't your parents tought you? :) lol

  • who perform original version ???

  • T Rex

  • okay there alright....jungle is one of my favorite songs......your right but !!!as you well know could never hold a candle to mr.bolan......for that matter no one can as far as i'm conserned

  • i certainly hope that no one is compairing guns and whatever to the legend marc bolan......please !!!

  • @maleychris hey man common , guns n roses were a great band...they were pure rock n roll, made legendary music...i love marc bolan too man , but seriously , common

  • damit......wheres my frigen comment????

  • I like this version and the Gnr version

    :3

  • @bowie12

    twat

  • joyce M. Hyde park Ma. I love you, R.I.P, always, AL

  • I luv Gnr's cover, soooo good, but both versions are awesome.

  • @bowie12 David Bowie happens to be the most dull artist I listen to. No T.Rex song sounds anything like the next. And Bolan didn't do the "Oh, let's copy Iggy Pop" stage that Bowie did. All Bowie ever did was scrounge off real musicians like Iggy Pop and Marc Bolan etc.

Fantastic Voyage and Boys Keep Swinging from Lodger have exactly the same chord progression. Bolan is about excitement, something Bowie doesn't do.

  • @McDjB1 something tells me your not right in the head, keep taking the pills silly.

  • @bowie12 haha you're the one who thinks Bowie is better than Bolan.

  • @McDjB1 You probably didn't know about Fantastic Voyage and Boys Keep Swinging chord progressions until someone told you about it. There's a reason Bowie lasted through all the years and others didn't.

  • @BreakingGlass77 DUH - the reason he lasted longer than Bolan is that Bowie DIDN'T DIE!

P.S. I have all of Bowie's albums, so don't try and tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about

  • i wish there was a version of this song with the guitar from the Guns n' Roses version, but the singing of a british accent like this, with axl roses powerful tone of voice

  • I still have this old album put away. There best by far! A group came out in the late 80's which sounded very much like the old T-Rex. The name escapes me at the moment.

  • may be you mean Janes addiction. Perry Farrell sings very similar to Marc, in my humble opinion, just hear children of the revolution and any janes addiction track of perry singing...-

  • This version and GN'R covering it are both awesome! No debate between the two, it's just a matter of personal preference.

  • Danzigs cover is pretty good 2.

  • Yes!

  • I think the gund n roses version is like more kinda punked up.. i like the guitar in Gnrs version as i like the heavier sound.. but u cant knock the original song of course its awesome

  • woah, this sounds even better than the GnR version

  • Everything sounds better than the Guns N Roses version of anything.

  • Sorry - Guns N' Roses are terrible cock rock with a slightly harder sound. Nothing more.

  • Attitude and wanky guitar solo = good songwriting.

    Got it.

  • You clearly don't see the point at what I'm saying, dont you?

  • @Mechz that gnr album was one of the worst. but had some good songs. this was one of them but of course nothing can beat the original song.

  • @Milkshakeguy It was bad because all of them were covers because they didn't have their best songwriter in their band anymore and they weren't as creative.

  • @CuteHotChiliPeppers actually, most of it was recorded when izzy was still in the band. his parts were later erased and replaced by gilby's but all the other stuff was recorded with izzy still being in the band. so sorry, creativity or the lack of it had nothing to do with it ;)

  • @Mechz Everything sounds better than Guns 'n' Roses.

  • @Mechz of course this is better than Guns n' Roses, because this is the original.

  • @Mechz Hey man, it's the original!

  • @Mechz of course it's better this is the original there are only a handful of covers that are better than the original

  • @inglwdzep

Name one in this case, what cover is better than this original version? I believe the resul is none, there just is not any better versions over this one.

  • @pollenprognoosi i dont mean better than than "buick makane" i mean cover songs in general.....like "knockin' on heavens doors" by Guns N' Roses i think its better than dylans you might say im crazy but i like it better there is nothing wrong with Bob Dylan i love the man but I just Like Gun version of the song more

  • @Mechz Thats cos this is the original and predates GnR by some 20+ years!!! Such was the incredible foresight of Marc Bolan

  • @Mechz

coz it is the original dumbass.. jeez some people

  • @kingofthedammed Hello: Come on man be honestly emphatic. It's not "jeez" or "some" people. GNR recorded a cover song by another fantastic Rock n Roll group called Nazareth. The song was Hair Of The Dog. I tried to like GNR but liking only their early years.

  • bolan's sang this so leave it alone he is a god just listern to the words who comes with words like this now no one does

  • guns n poses sold alot of records,,,so did

    barry manilow

  • @titian777

Don't forget NKOTB BSB Hannah Montana Jonas Brothers and also so did Jimmy Swaggart

  • @titian777 ...... i love Barry Manilow.

  • @titian777 Hey GNR was a excellent band back in the day. Before Axl Rose fucked everything up.

  • So good

  • Dirty, dirty song. Absolutley fantastic, I love it! The guitar, the lyrics, everything about it is just awesome. Guns and Roses did do a good cover, and even though Axl's got a great voice, Marc just makes the song more sexual.

  • why is there even a debate?

  • I agree with you guys GNR cover is good but this is the best!

  • I luv both too XD

  • i love both GnR n T.Rex they are my all time fav groups but T.Rex do this song best.

  • sorry to say this is way better than guns and roses that has got heart in it sorry marc bolan ride on in all are hearts

  • i love this song.

the guns n roses cover is pretty good as well.
