The acting is to dramatic in my opinion, but I still like this film. I like the mentioning of Grovers Bend in part 2. You are very lucky to have props from the movies. I'm assuming that this takes place after Critters 2 and before Critters 3. Nice job so far in the movie.

All movies have mistakes. It's sometimes fun catching mistakes in films. Interestingly, in that I've spent some time recently fixing a lot of audio problems with this film on my computer.
Buy a rubber ball from a toy store. Go to a fabric store (Jo-anne Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, etc). They sell a brown furry fabric. Buy a yard or two of fabric. Cut the fabric around the rubber ball you bought from the toy store. You'll have to cut the fabric in pieces to evenly fit around the outside of the ball. Use model glue like Zap It that you can pick up at any model/hobby store. It's that simple. You need only 3 things: Ball + furry fabric + glue.

Thanks. Although I do own a critter from the original film, it does not appear in this segment of the film. If you watch Dino Dreams, you will find that the terror bird is eating a dead critter from the original critters film. My original prop is too delicate for any physical use. It's 22 years old.
Yes, I own a couple other pieces that include some stop motion animation puppets, a critters bounty hunter face, an animatronic bug creature from "Mimic", but that's about it.
I would like to see you do better. This guy for sure has a modest budget and doesn't have special affects as in a film. Plus, his critters and props are nearly impossible to find.

Humm, good question. I never thought of the voice as sounding like Donald Duck, but I guess you're right. I guess this was the best creature voice I could come up with.
The critters are one of a kind, professionally made puppets. They aren't something you can buy at a store or on e-bay, although, I'm sure you could find something similar. The guy has a ninja katana straight sword. Samurai swords are longer and curved. I guess the guy likes Japanese swords.

Yeah, that guy does talk to himself a lot. When you don't have any characters in a film, dialog must continue, therefore they seem a little insane talking to themselves all the time.
It's red Testors paint. This movie doesn't have much CGI in it. There is a CGI mushroom cloud, a CGI stuntman, but that's about it. Most FX are practical.

How'd you make your critter balls? I just found a wig and tried to wrap it around a small soccer ball. Didn't work well
