  • Like if your still watching this in 2011 ;)

  • They synchronisation is absouloutly solid, then I realized that all of them can't see the puppeteer so that makes it even more amazing

  • absolutely amazing!!!!

  • This is the best performance from a marionette style crew ever, jabbawockeez are biters..

  • Damn, so much time since i saw this for the 1st time, still cant get tired of watching this :D

  • AWWW... Fucking camera angle....

  • como se llama la canción que comienza en el minuto 1:45 ?

    What's this song? 1:45

U guys have to see the expression's wizard. That is the best (☆_☆)

  • Amazing expression))) Greetings from Russia!

  • OH so THIS is where Super Junior took their idea of making a dance choreo in Star Dance Battle. :D DAEBAK! :DD

  • where was this at?

  • stupid cameramen, dont know what they're doing at all.

  • the best perfomance I've ever seen !!! :D ..Korea hwaiting !!!

  • camera angle sucks... cuts people out... frontal view is best for bboy performances

  • best. never seen anything like this. good job bboys. Respect. Greetings from Poland

  • amazing, epic, beautiful, gorgeous, what else, i cant seem to describe my feelin, cuz all these word aint anywhere close to the level of this performance

  • 2:29 is pretty beast

  • im pissed off that jabbawockeez is in related videos. IT AINT D: <

  • la coupure à 1min 40 fais bien chié ^^

  • HOLY CRAP AT 4:43 THE GUY DOING AIRFLARES WERE AS FAST AS BBOY POCKET'S!!!!!!PLUS EXPRESSION CREW WORK TOGETHER ALOT....suks tht their crew got separated...;(

  • ty man!!

  • song name??

  • @goalkeeper1997 La Valse D'amelie by Yann Tiersen

  • chiken pocks all the way

  • respect expression crew ...... paz

  • whop cares if jabba didnt copy lol ...this one performance could beat all of jabba performance on abdc......and bboying wise expression would smoke them in a bboy battle to....and they had the mask concept first......so in the end expression wins 3 to 0

  • this is it !

  • speachless.....!<3

  • .....ahhh i thought i was done with this dumb@ss channel along time ago haha. And I'm not going to repeat what I said (cuz i don't even remember what I said and idgaf LOL).

However, there is one thing: Expression and Jabba are both AMAZING. And fyi to everybody, there are/were HUNDREDS of crews or groups out in the world who danced with masks. So what's my point you ask? Here it is (hope you understand and you're not dumb enough to not)

THE MASK IDEA IS A CONCEPT, NO ONE OWNS IT. nuff said ;)

  • Just :o.

  • We can't describe this. It's really Amazing.

  • Normally I would not be interested in b-boying, but this caught my attention as they used the music I love and I cannot stop watching this video. It is very expressive and it tells a story. I am deeply moved and impressed by Expression Crew.

  • ok these guys were already out befor Jabbawockeez right, cuz I remember seeing this way befor ABDC. So someone please correct me if I´m wrong.

  • Holy Shit

    nuff' said

  • song name?

  • @popstarr55 Look at Yann Tiersen Amélie Poulain. :)

  • HipHop is everything!!

  • agreed. but thats america for ya lol

  • 2002/2003 Expression Crew won the BOTY international the officiel bboy world championship. Planet bboy. USA(2007) , turn it loose. USA(2009) documentaries, out in theaters around the globe: there is still a world famous original member of Expression Crew in them. With mask and without, korean crew Prepix are good too.

  • husty

  • WTH did the video get cut or something cuz at 1:44 it looks really off and kills the mood wtf

  • what's the name of songs??

  • @Prosaoner The music is from the french movie le fabuleux destin d'amélie poulain (or just Amélie)

  • @AllFormsDance ok thanks

  • @AllFormsDance i agree its from there! i love the chose of music they always use for there performances!

  • haha Jabbawockeez started doing mask dancing or marionette since 200's or 2005 dont remmeber the exact but i know its in the 2000's but Expression Crews been doing it since 1991 so they're pro

  • and w/e the truth is, Jabba will always be more famous/advertised/wealthy than Expression crew, so who cares

  • @hiphoppacmotion American best dance crew. not world best dance crew. only them ppl who dont know anything about dancing, dont know them =D

  • @ToiVidz lol interesting (false) generalization u got there. but it doesn't matter, b/c i only had a suggestion :)

  • @hiphoppacmotion :D yeahhh american best dance crew suck now. no good crew and how the heck can we have 5 american best dance crew? they just need make a season about all five crew battle it out. but nooo.

  • Jabba DID NOT COPY Expression. people who say that are jealous haters because Jabba honestly makes more money and are publicized. call jabba over-rated, but they deserve it and everyone knows it because of their hard work and skill. Also, expression is unique, but they aren't the ONLY crew evolving hip hop choreography into something different btw. So get over your f*ckin selves, get your facts straight, and give me LEGITIMATE info that says Jabba copied the mask idea from Expression :) or stfu

  • @hiphoppacmotion

    ^Kid's butthurt.

  • @hiphoppacmotion Listen stop being a jabba cock sucker and shut up. Jabbawockeez Clearly stated in a interview that they were insipired by expression crew and had got the mask idea from them however they did not orginally start dancing with masks until being insipred by jabbawockeez.

  • @hiphoppacmotion if Jabba make money...may be Expression crew make Arts of B-Boy

their 'Marionette' will be Epic,at before I don't like B-Boy,[sorry for this but I feel like thay are something Gangstar Dirty (Sorry!)]no anything closey in my way,Classic,Oiled painting ,Gallery Blah Blah

but after I met EC ,everything changed B-Boy ROCKS!

  • @hiphoppacmotion Just so you know, about saying jabba ''DID NOT COPY'' expression crew. Im sorry to tell ya... but in an interview (and no i cant remember which one if you ask unfortunately -_-') they said they took the idea (or more like said were inspired) by the expression crew for the mask. About getting your facts straight, you should be the one doing your homework xD. And like someone said they used mask in 1991 jabba in 2000 or so + jabba are bboying too. they KNOW for sure Exp crew.

  • jabba and expression are both sick crews. but the TRUTH is........jabba will be much more favored and advertised by dancers and NONDANCERS alike. The difference in their music selections are also different, so......obviously based on the music, MAINSTREAM AMERICA (maybe even the world) will choose Jabba over Expression.

  • como se llaman las canciones q salen en el video?

    what's the name of songs??

  • o.m.g i don't believe that there are people who don't like this videoo!!!! :S

  • Wow, this is cool... if they went in like a contemporary division with this they would still beat everyone, despite them all being Bboyers :P hahaha so good :)

  • 크루 멋있다 진짜 인형같아

  • I was amazed when I saw Jabbawockieez but I cried when I saw expression

  • people need to realize that jabbawockeez AND expression are BOTH amazing dance crews.

  • Songs by Yann Tiersen, very good, very good.

    Yeah...the camera man...blegh, terrible shooting...

    But mannnn...I love this performance!

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooow OoO... expectacular, sin palabras

  • Amazing job!!!!!!Well done from Greece!!!!

  • Guys look just because people who where mask doesnt mean that they copied Expression Crew, Expression Crew were just an inspirational to Jabbawockeez and they said it them self so stop haten on Jabbawcokeez please thank you...

  • goddammit, when are korean cameramen ever going to figure out how to work the fucking camera?? in any case, amazing performance.

  • amazing

  • Expression Crew, Quest Crew, and JabbawockeeZ FTW!!! xD <3

  • gicior :P

  • amélie poulain songs love !

  • respecty from Romania :X love

  • If anyone saw this live youve been blessed and you know it

  • where'd they copied the mask effect???? uhhmmm try reviewing the japanese culture. i think its a little linked to that. the KABUKI dancer. who used to wear make-up or a mask for a theater performance. ^_^ this is just my opinion.

  • What is the very first music?

  • "Le Moulin" by Yann Tiersen =] x

  • anyone who compares jabba and expression should be fukin shot

all bboys know where jabba took the masks from, i don't know about other interviews but from abdc they said they wear masks to "move like a Marionette". HMM.

  • well said

  • damn this is crazy

  • nvm, he does at 6:16

  • I think the second puppeteer forgot to take off the white vest around 3:07. In the other video of their other performances of "Marionette", there was only one visible puppeteer after this point.

Still an amazing performance - I'm just picky. =x

  • quit comparin jabba and expression, both are different in there own style, and they all dope in their own styles

  • wow this is sicking good =|! :O

  • seria bueno un reto con jabbawockeez

  • Ab 6:21 Bauer sucht Frau. :o)

  • wow, this is so sexual!

homo, phobo, hetero and bi - everybody loves everybody.

    And we all love Amélie.

  • please tell me all of expression member who performed this show.

I only recognize jerry and tachyon at the end of video.

    thx

  • the one with the spiky orange hair is bboy wake up.

    dont know the rest though

  • wake up?

    I thought that's tachyon.

  • Oh you're right. Sorry, Wake Up's hair at BOTY 2003 looks similar to Tachyon's.

But I do know that the one playing the marionette is bboy Woo Sung.

  • wake up? isn't that tachyon (bboy with flashy footwork) ??

  • it is realy abvsolutli the best performance :) amazing

  • expresion crew tiene mas arte en el baile k jabbawockeez mi favorito expresion crew

  • i think most of the people who compared EC vs JB were like disturbed by the fact that everybody know about JB but not EX.

I think both do good but EX got more 'art' in their dance.

  • fantastic :)

  • someone said that the jabbawockeez are more hip hop dancers than real Bboy like Expression crew.. im trying to understand how stupid this sentence was.. but i cant... its too much for me lol. Expression crew is WHAT HIP HOP IS BECOMING MY FRIEND xD... Puting the hip hop on another level.. a new form... its the evolution of hip hop..(the vid u watching) Their dance catch us from the beggining to the end. True hiphop.. expressing so much only by dancing.. its an art. BRILLANT 5* :_)

  • somewhat true

expression crew isnt what hip hop is becoming

hip hop originated from the bronx with rapping, breaking, music genre, etc.

expression crew is what the true form of hip hop was.

today our modern dances are not hip hop.

maybe originated from hip hop but breaking is the only form thats classified as "hip hop"

jabbawockeez are not only hip hop, more of evolutionized dance.

expression crew has more hip hop, jabbawockeez have less than that but both r very talented and entertaining

  • There's no true form of hip hop, wtf you talking about.

It's referred to as old school hip hop.

Like every other genre it's changed with time!

Hip hop has become more commercial, but is still hip hop regardless.

Hip hop was and still is for many people a way to break away from the life of crime.

    There's no 'true' hip hop.

    It's all hip hop.

  • i was talking about the original hip hop.

    read the comment.

and of course genres change over time.

hip hop was a movement basically for expression.

for love and like u said, a way to break away from crime and also any other life frustrations.

but im sure you've heard of "hip hop is dead."

because todays rappers have degraded hip hop at such a low level, it tended to lose its original meaning.

we have hip hop still but it cant be expressed by all dancers and musicians alike.

    get with it..

  • I have heard of "hip hop is dead" and i agree that many have degraded hip hop, and that much of the main stream hip hop at the moment is just shit.

But there are still good hip hop artists out there, e.g Talib Kweli & Q-Tip

  • yeah of course there are hip hop artists that are still trying to keep the tradition going.

but i fear that since our generations are becoming more independent on technology and less aware of anything of importance, it will corrupt them and so will our new generation artists.

itll be tough to keep hip hop alive tho.

hah im still surprised that country is still alive as to hip hop.

but hope for the best, who knows what will happen next in music.

"riding a disco stick" is "cool" to kids now..

  • Yeah dude I totally agree that people nowaday don't relaly know anything about hip hop. It's a shame too!

Artists like Jimmy Hendrix and Elvis were great in there own way, but so were A Tribe Called Quest, Grandmaster Flash and Afrika Bambaataa and nowadays none of the people who say they love hip hop have an idea of who these people are.

  • yes and todays generation will most likely neglect michael jackson just like elvis's and hendrix's legend.

    sadly thats "old" news.

now those major artists will only be discussed from our history text books..

i feel that what must go up, must come down.

our past generations has climaxed and enjoyed throughout our golden age, now we must come down.

starting with our generation and the ones thereafter.

hip hop was a blessing while it lasted.. but like most things, they are finite.

  • strong words my friend. . . "clap" 'clap" "clap" " clap " "clap

  • okay ^^ sorry :P i believe you :)

But maybe what i was trying to say is that the hip hop of today should come back to this form of hip hop.. in some way.

Or maybe it is just me :) and im just liking this video too much ^^.

  • the hip hop in its original form is still classic.

like mozart or movies like aladdin, they're classic and we will most likely always remember them.

hip hop should definitely go back to its expressional purpose rather than todays "hip hop" of popping champagne with half-covered gurls.

the dance however, i think it looks great today but a touch of todays and old forms of hip hop could be nice.

however this vid is great and gives me chills everytime i see it.

  • The problem with today's hiphop is that it's too commercialized. Most things are about what looks 'sick' and many artists (especially dancers) have sacrificed style for technique. And I think this is also relevant to most other forms of hip hop too, e.g graffiti. Technique is good and impresses most people but without style it's all the same shit. that's why old school is so good.

  • i dont agree at all...dancers can do so much more these days beacuse they let them self develope...really i love old school it all started back in the days but saying things u just did is like telling ppl to not to be creative! sure there are ppl who do it for commercial but most of the dancers today sacrifice sweat and tears not style!

  • Dude what i said is that lots of people aren't being creative, not that they shouldn't be. What I said is that a lot of the shit today is uncreative and that they get so engaged in trying to do the coolest moves and dances they see other people do that they don't develop their own style.

  • well if u really think about it, back in the old days everything was built from scratch.

its really hard to try to make a new bboy move or etc.

    basically everything has been done.

and another major factor is youtube.

we all youtube dance vids and some of us try to learn them.

im sure w/o youtube, popularity of certain styles would shift everywhere and give others a definite reason to be creative w/o knowing it. get it?

we watch vids and some dance based off of them.

    leaves no room for creativity

  • I'm not just talking about moves, i'm talking about choreography too.

What expression crew have done is amaaaazing. Each dancer had an individual part that complimented the whole dance. And their style is unique. And I've seen dancers bite choreo from crews like the jabba (without even acknowledging them).

  • im not sure about complete originality but legion of extraordinary dancers by jon chu has a very interesting definition of a "dance performance"

and i see where you're getting at..

  • but it would be nice to see new creativity.

personally i thought that soreal cru and their dancing was unique to others.

im not saying they created that style but ive seen more ppl have that style now.

    anyway creativity is still possible.

maybe within a few years a "michael jackson" will come up and take dancing a step further to something undreamed of.

    its very possible..

  • mad respect for expression crew

  • All the tracks in this video are on"LE FABULEUX DESTIN D'AMELIE POULAIN - Soundtrack".

"Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie poulain" is a fabulous french film where you can find all these songs in....

  • can i get the links for these songs?

  • one of the best performances ever created in dance. These guys are truly artists of this generation.

  • absalutely gorgeous.

  • Expression definitely put alot of work into this performance. I personally don't care for the jabbwockeez vs expression crew debate because the only thing that matters is that this performance was fuckin' top notch. Not to mention the soundtrack is quite amazing.

  • you chosed my favourite songs from the greatest o.s.t ever ... the show was awesome , it really gave me goosebumps

  • do these guys even battle anymore?

  • no they only do shows

  • Just fucking beautiful T_T

  • they have the finishing touch to it at the end. DING DING DING.

  • I think this show kills

    any of Jabbawokkeez shows

    or however you spell it

And you can tell these guys practiced

    ALOT

  • I love Jabbawockeez, but Expression crew is simply gorgeous. Such a perfect show.. Amazing :)

  • jabba are more hip hop dancer than real bboy like Expression.

  • For anyone else thats gonna watch this vid and ask for songs, dont cuz its really FUGGIN annoying just look at the god dam description

  • people keep using that word....i do not think it means what they think it means...

my my. i just gave them an example. ! there i go again.

  • pretentious? It's a fucking SHOW man, get over yourself.

  • beautiful

  • stupende le musike di yann tiersen...bravissimi

  • they said so in an interview.. wether it was for ABDC or something else.

  • to clarify, Jabbawockeez admitted that they got the masks from expressions, and that their style heavily influenced them. its just a lot of ppl dont care to listen.

  • where did u learn/hear about this??!

  • EC bytz "medea sirkas"

  • where the fuck u heard about that?

  • simply great :-)

  • :o*

  • fucking brilllllllllllliant!!

  • I loveeeeeeeeee

  • I watch this over and over again. It's AMAZING

  • It is so impressive. I love the way they combine the French songs w their moves. So amazing. Wow!!!!

  • expression is so sexy <.<

  • Amazing! :D

  • you really cant compare jabbawockeez and expression because jabbafuckeez!! are streetdancers and not really bboys and expression crew is a bboyin crew who took it to another level!

  • um that stupid they are both very different so

yea expression crew is very creative and intricate

jabba is very lively and nice to wacth

  • Jabba fuckers bited off expressions mask and claimed it as their own.

jabba's are fuckign wanna be bboyers and shitty freestylers.

ANYONE in the bboy community looks down on them because thats how much they suck.

  • dont hate on jabba . . . they are really good. u know they probably didnt bited off expressions mask . . . and they are good at bboying and freestyling. and they dont suck.

  • They are not bboys, they used the exact same masks and they clearly suck.

  • Just because u see someone doing footwork doing headspins doesnt mean ur a bboy i can walk on my toes does dat mean im a ballet dancer?

  • wow.. you are dumb.

  • Me? Dumb for what.

    You're just ignorant.

  • @HideNSe3K

jabbawackeez are sick too...you cant say they arent cuz they come out with some sick moves, and they are different from these guys music wise, they are both good...and i dont gotta know everysingle fucking thing about bboy moves and dance to give my own opinion, n i kno some people in crews that look up to jabbawackeez u bitchass nikkuh!

  • @HideNSe3K ik what ur saying but look their mask have a stroke of paint on it and they're silver masks

  • I like Expression more because they are less conventional, and although the Jabbawockeez have great skill, I think they would lose in a battle against Expression. Personal opinion btw.

  • battle wise, i think so too xD. but i just like fast movement ._.

  • Me too ^^

  • me 2

  • whahaha you suck jabbawockeez is gay!!! there no bboys there eboys !!!

  • Everybody have they own opinion i guess :P
