Well.... there is another site where on windy days (needs to be above 15kts) I can do a 1/4km out & return 'ridge run' on a 2ft high 'wall' on the sea shore (south bank of the Tay).. and the site I was flying this evening it is possible to soar the beach about 100-150ft in front of the ridge (East Seaton bay is about 1km from the park in this clip), you need to come up for a days training and you will be amazed at the standard of my students!
Best flight on the sea wall is about 40 mins, best distance out front (with flying back to the wall) is about 200ft working the thermals off the rocks at low tide.. best height gain 150ft and jump back to the main grass ridge! :-)
Cool :)
