on another which umaima and bill take different value of calories, sal will always be in between their values... but on tuesday, it happens that umaima and bill take 300 calories, so sal must be 300 too(since there will be no other values THAT IS MORE APPROPRIATE THAN 300 according to the condition)... that's where the squeeze theorem plays in.

i think there's a logical flaw in your comparison. f of x is greater than OR EQUAL to g of x, and less than OR EQUAL to h of x, so there is no reason f of x can't go through your point. however, if sal always eats MORE THAN umaima, and LESS THAN bill, then you've been inconsistent in your comparison.
