WE need to STOP being so dogmatic about when Jesus is coming back. pre, mid, post tribulation or mid , post millennium. Does it really matter? Only the Father knows when His Son is returning for the bride. but in the mean time we need to be like the vestal virgins and keep our lamps attended to. (v5 reveals the clue to who is hold back) Scripture tells us in Daniel that Michael is guarding Israel. v6 is speaking to Israel, and Michael. The passage says Jesus WILL NOT come, AND we WILL NOT be gathered unto Him, UNTIL the man of sin is revealed. THEN the Lord will return and destroy him with the brightness of His coming. NO WHERE does it say we disappear.

Read the scriptures in context. Look at Matt. 24, Jesus would have told His disciples about this, but instead warns not to believe anyone who says Christ has come back before all these events take place. The scrips commonly quoted to support the ptr position are nothing more than 2nd coming scrips. It is a deception to think Christ is coming back before He actually is.

@lifeseeker51 Yep, it stems from an incorrect teaching that starts in 1 Thes 4:13 where the topic is those who are asleep in Christ. It's talking about those who have already died, or rather in the flesh. That verse is commonly used to teach about our gather back to Christ, but that topic is in 2 Thes 2, not 1 Thes 4:13.

What Paul is saying in 1 Thes 4 is that we won't precede those who have died because they are already with Christ. He it twice between v13 and the end of the chapter.

If we are willing and preparing to go through and don't have to,what's the harm? On the other hand, if one is not willing nor in the least prepared and it is required that he go through. I disagree. What's being restrained that will be taken out of the way is a reference to the Angel Michael in Rev 12:7 - 12:9, not the Holy Spirit. Then 1 Cor 15:51 and on says that we shall all be changed. Even the parable of the Wheat and the Tares says the Tares won't be separated until after the Harvest.

1. If there is a falling away of the Church that means the Church had to be there and it's presumptuous to assume that everyone single individual in the Church does fall away.
2. The idea the Holy Spirit is the one who restrains is also presumptuous.And even if IT is, it doesn't mean He still doesn't indwell believers.
3. The voice of a 'Trumpet' is idiomatic of a 'battle cry' to start a war not a silent taking away.

The pre-wrath rapture position is post-tribulation. The difference is that sometimes those who hold the post-tribulation position do not differentiate between the tribulation period and the Day of Wrath period.

I understand hiyo. I searched for years what was the correct interpretation. I used to be a pre-tribber but struggled trying to reconcile certain scriptures that plainly say that the rapture is post-trib. then suddenly one day as I read Revelations chapter 6:9-17 it struck me that the rapture was PRE-WRATH. (see Rev. 6:17). Suddenly it all came together. The rapture is pre-wrath and post-trib! All of the scriptures now fell into place.
With this new understanding I determined that I was going to write a book because I had never heard of such a thing as the Pre-Wrath Rapture. My family and I left for a trip to FL the next day and we stopped at a book warehouse on the way. As I looked at a table full of books one title jumped out at me. It was "The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church" by Marvin Rosenthal. Someone had already written a book on it. Come to find out his mentor was Robert Van Kampen who wrote "The Sign".

Hello hiyo. Actually, the Day of Wrath and the Tribulation are not the same event. This misunderstanding has caused great confusion. For further study on this I recommend the books "The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church" by Marvin Rosenthal and "The Sign" by Robert Van Kampen. You can usually find these on ebay. The tribulation period will be a time of tribulation for the Saints and is before the rapture. The Day of Wrath begins after the rapture and is God's wrath being poured out.
I find it interesting how the "teacher" who put out this false doctrine in the video doesn't comment the scriptures that prove the opposite of his position... The abolonekid has ridden into the sunset.

WE need to STOP being so dogmatic about when Jesus is coming back. pre, mid, post tribulation or mid , post millennium. Does it really matter? Only the Father knows when His Son is returning for the bride. but in the mean time we need to be like the vestal virgins and keep our lamps attended to. I would like to point out that with so many different versions of Jesus return there seems to be some confusion and we all know who is the author of confusion is.....

The Rapture does not exist. Resurrection yes, rapture no. We must understand that in order for Christ to have been resurrected, he first had to die. 1 Corithians 15:20 Chist is the firstfruits of the sleeping (dead). v22 In Christ all will be made alive. v23 But each in their own turn; Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him.(the Prophets of the Bible). This is inaccurate. 2 Thes 2:3 The Day of the Lord will not come until the rebellion occurs and the sinful one is revealed (fact 1). v6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. (v5 reveals the clue to who is hold back) Scripture tells us in Daniel that Michael is guarding Israel. v6 is speaking to Israel, and Michael. Not the Holy Spirit. v7, and the man if sin is revealed in v8. This is the coming against Israel and not the Rapture.

You have managed to construe this passage into exactly the OPPOSITE of what it says.
The passage says Jesus WILL NOT come, AND we WILL NOT be gathered unto Him, UNTIL the man of sin is revealed. THEN the Lord will return and destroy him with the brightness of His coming. NO WHERE does it say we disappear.

Read the scriptures in context. Look at Matt. 24, Jesus would have told His disciples about this, but instead warns not to believe anyone who says Christ has come back before all these events take place. The scrips commonly quoted to support the ptr position are nothing more than 2nd coming scrips. It is a deception to think Christ is coming back before He actually is.

@lifeseeker51 Yep, it stems from an incorrect teaching that starts in 1 Thes 4:13 where the topic is those who are asleep in Christ. It's talking about those who have already died, or rather in the flesh. That verse is commonly used to teach about our gather back to Christ, but that topic is in 2 Thes 2, not 1 Thes 4:13.

What Paul is saying in 1 Thes 4 is that we won't precede those who have died because they are already with Christ. He it twice between v13 and the end of the chapter.

I can hardly imagine any group of believers will be taken out of the way before any kind of testing. We are definately no more righteous than the apostles,of whom all but one were marytered. All Paul is saying in 1 Thes 4 is that we won't precede those who are dead. He's saying the same thing twice. The reason we don't precede them is that they are already there according to Eccl 12:7.

The topic in 1 Thes 4 is not our gathering back to Christ. That's covered in 2 Thes 2.

I disagree. What's being restrained that will be taken out of the way is a reference to the Angel Michael in Rev 12:7 - 12:9, not the Holy Spirit. Then 1 Cor 15:51 and on says that we shall all be changed. Even the parable of the Wheat and the Tares says the Tares won't be separated until after the Harvest.

In 2 Thes 2 it says "our gathering back" doesn't occur until that list of events happens.

NONE of the verses mentioned in the video support pretrib rapture:
1. If there is a falling away of the Church that means the Church had to be there and it's presumptuous to assume that everyone single individual in the Church does fall away.
2. The idea the Holy Spirit is the one who restrains is also presumptuous.And even if IT is, it doesn't mean He still doesn't indwell believers.
3. The voice of a 'Trumpet' is idiomatic of a 'battle cry' to start a war not a silent taking away.

2.New believers are members of the Church 1 Cor.10:17;12:13.
3.The ONE trumpet is said to be the voice of the ONE Arch Angel - not multiple trumpets. It is clearly a battle scene scenario with one trumpet. The feast of trumpets require a blood sacrifice as well.

I studied it back then and left the church I was associated with that was teaching it because the doctrine is foolish and unsubstantiated by Scripture. The pre-wrath rapture position is post-tribulation. The difference is that sometimes those who hold the post-tribulation position do not differentiate between the tribulation period and the Day of Wrath period.

fil-Perhaps because the "argument" is moot and the obvious evidence points to Pre-Trib. There is no convincing us Pre-tribbers just as there is no convincing the other sides which is correct. So many do not bother. The important thing is to prevail to the end for the final return. When we are given the option of "mark" or guillotine, the choice is obvious. Until then, the small details are of no consequence.

Many will be deceived by false teaching thinking that something like the Verichip which will be inserted in the hand is not the mark of the beast because of this false pre-tribulation rapture teaching. Stan Johnson of "The Prophecy Club" said that there is not a prophet alive today who thinks that the rapture is pre-tribulation. The tribulation period is Satan's wrath poured out on the Saints. The false pre-trib teaching began in the 1820's or so.

Often the problem is that their "Pastors" teach the pre-trib. position and they cannot disagree with them because they will receive persecution if they do. And the funny thing is is that no where in the statement of faith was it stated that one must believe one way or the other.

I understand hiyo. I searched for years what was the correct interpretation. I used to be a pre-tribber but struggled trying to reconcile certain scriptures that plainly say that the rapture is post-trib. then suddenly one day as I read Revelations chapter 6:9-17 it struck me that the rapture was PRE-WRATH. (see Rev. 6:17). Suddenly it all came together. The rapture is pre-wrath and post-trib! All of the scriptures now fell into place.

Hello hiyo. Actually, the Day of Wrath and the Tribulation are not the same event. This misunderstanding has caused great confusion. For further study on this I recommend the books "The Pre-Wrath Rapture of the Church" by Marvin Rosenthal and "The Sign" by Robert Van Kampen. You can usually find these on ebay. The tribulation period will be a time of tribulation for the Saints and is before the rapture. The Day of Wrath begins after the rapture and is God's wrath being poured out.

Once the Believers are taken in the Rapture, lawlessness will prevail. Those borderline Believers will have an Oooops! moment and will be left behind to experience the Tribulation. If they avoid the 'mark' and live to the Return of Christ, they will be repopulating the earth. Those that were guillotined will be the Tribulation Saints. Pre-trib? Yes.
