No, sadly not - but it's understandable, as it would be illegal to take videos from a stage show! But there were a few TV reports after the first birthday show with excerpts from the finale - they might be still around somewhere on the internet.
No, this audio is from a much earlier performance in July 2005. His official Last Night was on 03 December 2005, but he did a couple of additional shows after that, so his very last show was then on 17 December 2005 (apart from the 1st anniversary Gala 12 May 2006, where he, James, and Liam alteranted in the role of Billy again.)
but i think with the billy's they dont realy need to be that good singing, cuz i saw Fox Jackson Keen, and ok, he wasnt the best singer, but he was just extraordinary, he had such an interesting personality, plus dancing was insane, lol, so i think they go for personality, and the capability to pick up things that they hadnt done before,
Yeah, but to be fair, Liam wasn't the best singer at first. He got better, but his singing was fairly weak in the Royal Variety Performance. I think that the three Broadway Billys (one of whom was also in London) are fantastic singers. I do agree that they've concentrated more on the dancing, though.
Well, the very first one was of course Jamie Bell in the movie. But then George Maguire, together with James Lomas and Liam Mower, started the magic of the musical in London - all three alternating in the role as Billy (and all three together won the Sir Lawrence Olivier Award for best actor in a musical!!)
waiting for corey snide's version.... it hasn't come yet, but hopefully it will. just like sam angell's version suddenly appeared about a year after his last. i've seen james lomas, but hopefully someone will upload james' version (and LIAM) as well.
i thought this should be exclusive to one of billy elliot forum (accessed with specific username and password), and not to be shared outside the forum?
nevertheless, I owned this for several months now, and I enjoyed it. His voice is better than any other billy.
I knew George Maguire, he went to my school...he was a right dick!

The Golden Age of BETM!
George, James and Liam were all very different, but equally brilliant!
Now I can't help but think they've comprimised on the standard of the Billies picked.
George was brilliant!
matty9794 3 years ago
How have they compromised the standards?
drummenator 2 years ago
Not necesarilly the dancing
But the singing, in my opininon has got generally worse
There are a few good singers in the newer productions
But on the whole I think that they have not tried as hard to find good singers and concentrated more on the dancing.
But that's just one guys opinion.

his last night was the only last night I've seen, though I watched the originals each twice.

For his performance of Billy Elliot, did he get this dance break for Electricity as opposed to Liam who got the one thats on the cd?
cristianbueno03 3 years ago
Yes - this is obviously an amateur life audio recording from a show with George doing his version of Electricity. More details in a direct message.

Would love that too - but obviously nobody dared to take videos in those early days of the show!

Too bad these were all still pics. Would love to see him doing one of the other dances in Billy Elliot.
