  • HOLY CRAP THANK YOU!!!

  • man, i got some trouble, when i plays a sample, it's slow and grave, but when i listen pressing CTRL it plays normally. It happens with all samples, less first one, and the rest get slower and more grave.

  • CAN SOMEONE HELP ME, I WANT TO MAKE A (BASS) SOUND HIGHER WITHOUT MAKING IT SHORTER, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

  • @DJshuffl3 Load the sample into a new channel. Go to the channel settings of the sample by clicking its box at the left side in the step sequencer. Look for Time stretching setting, it's about in the middle. Choose a timestretch method, I would recommend 'tonal' in this case, but you can try different things and also go crazy with it ;-) Use the pitch knob to tune your bass higher. If you crank it upa all the way it should be one octave higher.

You could also use edison for that..

  • @Turbobahn ...so, basically what you you want do do is called 'time-stretching' if you haven't guessed by now ;-)

  • @DJshuffl3 Open up the piano roll and choose a higher note...

  • Thanks!

  • Oh God, even I changed the bpm of a clip....it doesn't change....argh.

  • so how do i change the tempo of the sample itself?

  • Check my channel, i've just created it, and i will be uploading LOADS of fl studio tutorials, subscribe and wait!!! THANKS!

  • thanks, wow, didn't notice that samples have menus

  • haha way to difficult

just stretch it or make it smaller to your desired tempo

go to channel settings and change Auto into Pro Transient

boom. normal pitch back different tempo.

    good luck further on ppl

  • i have a trial version of fl studio and i do the same things but when i click fit to tempo it asks me to chose a range for it to detect its original tempo. after it has been detected, it says that it is stretching, but the tempo keeps on being the same. i really need it to practice the song in the piano

  • @sebnieto13 holy shit right click the tempo at the top and create automation clip then save the sample as mp3 then use the mp3 you just made

  • thanks this really helped!

  • Mine asks me "Please select the tempo range (in BPM) this sample is most likely to be in". How do you determine what tempo it is if you are unsure of what it is and how do you increase the speed just of a specific sample?

  • @defiantHipHop Start playing the sample then right click the tempo display and choose tap. Then try to keep the beat. This should at least give you enough of a ball park figure to give FL a tempo window. Sorry you had to wait so long for an answer haha.

  • Mine asks me "Please select the tempo range (in BPM) this sample is most likely to be in". How do you determine what tempo it is if you are unsure of what it is.

  • thanks!

  • how do you make the part where you put avoice and loop it and make it go very fast like:g-g-g-g-g-g-g--go

  • just put it on pro transient and it wont affect the pitch...

  • Uh i dont have tht menu where you put tht song for the wavs to apear how do i get tht menu.. i know it should be in playlist but i cant find it!

  • is their any way of changing the tempo for only one pattern.... help

  • Yo i got some beats i produced up leme know if u fellin em!

  • Now, how do you AUTOMATE the BPM...without altering the pitch of the samples?...

  • THANK .... YOU !

  • is there a way to increase the tempo in the piano roll on a pattern but not change the tempo for the rest of the patterns?

  • can i do this with a loop?

  • Now I Need This Tut Flipped The Other Way?

  • Never mind, I figured it out :D

  • I have a question maybe you guys have an answer to. I go to vgmusic sometimes to take songs and adjust the pitch, tempo, and instruments. Occasionally when I change the tempo and play it again, the tempo resets. How can I stop the tempo from reseting when I press play?

  • You play aoe 1?

  • thanx

  • can i change tempo of a single pattern or channel without editing whole project?

  • that's exactly what I'm tryin to do!

did you ever find out how to do it?

  • @DnBesciak same problem

  • what the hell is this?

I currently have a project set at 140bpm, And i want to add a loop sample to it, but it is at 110bpm

HOW DO I CHANGE THE TEMPO OF THE SAMPLE TO 140bpm, without changing the pitch??

    thanks!!

  • Did you not watch the video?

  • are you kidding me

  • Thanks man this is going to help me A LOT!

  • lmfao. i love your user name lol

  • your video helped alot thank you

  • yea that DOES change the tempo of the song, but how do u change the tempo of a PAT?

  • I believe after you change the sample tempo that way, you double-click the audio to open the channel window, disable resampling, and then boost your song's tempo back up.

I'm sure there are better ways but I have yet to stumble across them ( or know of them off-hand ).

  • thanks it helped me...

  • thanks for this quick video... din't waste my time and i got wiser too :-)

  • Is there a way to change the pitch without effecting the tempo (Using the sampler/audio clip effects the pitch when changing notes in the piano roll) but is there a way?

  • I believe after you load a song into your project, you just open the piano roll and make a note in the pitch you desire. When it comes to actually being able to change the pitch yet still be able to see the audio waves in the playlist, I think you need to go to the properties of the song and mess with the pitch knob.

  • You know, Lark is always awesome! 5 stars!

  • Thanks so much Lark, it was really generous of you to make me a video tutorial. Very helpful, 5 stars!
