  • By the way... which would work better? A blender or an egg beater?

  • @MrWhitman

Either would work fine, thank you so much for watching!

  • I remember when my father claimed all you needed was a package of cornbread mix and dip the dog in the batter and fry it. The cornbread mix didn't stick to the hotdog and came up in little bits and pieces until the hotdog was completely exposed.

  • loveee it. thanks so much

  • @cometaaalii

Thank you, I have been thinking of doing a corn dog casserole thing, sound terrible or ok?

  • @freitasex sounds weird, but rice + milk - milk (arroz con leche) sounded weird to me too...but it's awesome. you should go for it. i have followed 2 of your recipes and they are awesome. i'm also going to follow your carne asada recipe. start marinating the meat on thursday and have them ready for sunday. great for the sb. thanks!

  • @cometaaalii

Thank you for your suggestion :)

I love the marinaded carne asada, you picked a good one.

I hope you have a wonderful SB Sunday!

  • your corn dog looks like a circumcised penis

  • can i use bread crumbs instead of cornmeal? i can't seem to find any cornmeal here in our place =( tnx!

  • @jonydawn

I apologize, but bread crumbs will not work.

  • @jonydawn Try to find something called Polenta, usually in the grains/oats section. Closest substitute you will find to Cornmeal.

  • may i know what is corn meals?

  • @elmo2707105

It is dried corn kernels, ground up into a fine or coarse type of flour.

  • Freitasex do we have to use a food processer or can we whisk the batter?

  • @drummerbird88

    You can wish the batter.

The only reason I used a food processor was to really chop up the canned cream corn, thanks!

  • Your batter is much too thin. That's why it isn't sticking properly. And in my 46 years on earth, I've never seen someone put creamed corn or a ton of sugar in the batter.

  • @Michael55443

Well you have seen it now :)

  • they're aren't any corn dogs where i'm from either. i'm from guyana, south america

  • @neneyounge

Corn Dogs are a real treat to eat, thanks Kay!

  • CHOKED,

  • We don´t really have corn dogs in Brazil, but I was watching your recipe and my kids went nuts. So, I just made them and the batter is really good. Only, instead of sugar I put maple syrup. Thanks.

  • @MelugoAlyan

  • duude your gonna make me fat with all these yummy foods you make me crave.

  • @dede07gee

Fat? You are 19, it will be years before you are fat :)

    You have to make this!

  • Always eat carefully.

  • Hi, how many days can we keep the batter in the fridge?

  • @nakos87

I would not keep it longer than 2 days.

    Thank you for your question!

  • hello, this was a great recipe, i remember eating these last summer, when i was visiting anusville florida, great recipes

    love you

  • @TheSource77

    Thanks!

  • I find this hard to masterbate too...

  • @oseart5556

LOL, are you related to Puarane2Forever?

    Just Kidding

  • @freitasex sorry my friend is on my youtube

    -oseart5556-

  • can i do it in a blender?

  • @mayrayeve

Yes ... a blender would be perfect.

    Thank you for your question!

  • Can I use butter milk?

  • @Sunshine4695

Yes you can, thank you for your question!

  • haha 1 and a half year later..i changed my mine ill do it :D

  • @TheBassrules4394

Yes, I told the person that I would not make these.

  • no one????ok ill say it....WTF is up wit ur name???

  • Hey Freita can I make the corndog without the baking soda or do I have to use the baking soda? Please reply fast cuz I'm making it tomorrow.

  • @super643d

I do not know how it will turn out without the baking soda, probably sorta flat batter around the hotdogs.

I am sure it will taste fine without the baking soda.

Something else to make it easier .... you can do it without the sticks, and cut the hot dogs in half to make them shorter, that way you do not need to use such a wide pot.

  • @freitasex also can i use water instead of milk?

  • @super643d

    Milk is really needed here.

If you get an opportunity, go to my channel and read "the stuff" about me and the section about substitutions.

  • @freitasex one more question can i use baking soda?

  • that looked soooooo good and chewy :3

  • @NERDzxc

They are good, and thanks :)

  • Can i substitute the corn meal with something else? Like cornflour or something? :)

  • @killerslays

Yes you can substitute with cornflour, it will not be the same, but it will be good.

    Thank you for your question!

  • Can I make it without cream corn and corn meal?

  • @HamenChips109

Yes without the cream corn everything would be fine.

Without the corn meal? Sure, but it will turn out very very different.

  • Finally found out where to get/make corn dogs. Last time I ever ate a corn dog was like 4 years ago and since then I can't find any place here in nyc that sells them or at least I don't know any place! Thanks dude.

  • @Firefox1095

I hope you try this, thanks!

  • q ricos!!!!

  • Can you also bake it?

  • @super643d

    This cannot be baked, sorry.

    Thank you for your question!

  • nice video but can you make a corndog without cream corn cuz i think they dont sell it in Belgium :S

  • @BerkStudios

Yes, you can leave the cream corn out and it will be fine.

    Thank you for your question!

  • i couldn't find any corndogs here in the philippines and it bothers me so much. i'm sure it tastes really good. :(((

  • @reflastori

Oh, these taste better than the ones in the store.

If you have hot dogs, you can make this!

You do not have to have sticks and you can cut the hotdogs in 1/2 so they are not so long.

  • thanks.

  • @thailakorn

    My pleasure!

  • I dont know what it is about your videos, but I LOVE WATCHING THEM!! Your pretty funny, and I like how you think out loud about things.. HEHE!! I like how your very detailed and explain step by step as you go..

  • @mihaiemilia1

One of the best comments ever, thank you :)

  • i couldn't find cornmeal in singapore :( im gonna try using cornbread mix and see how it turns out. fingers crossed.

  • 'They won't come out perfect like what you buy in the store but they'll taste a lot better.'

I'll take home cooked taste over manufactured perfection every time.

  • @WilliamGruff

    Thank you William!

  • what song is that in the background dude?

  • @robopeach64

That is a good thing, if you do not have the cream corn, it is fine without it.

    Thanks!

  • @moddkilla stfu

  • @halo212345678 YEA you stfu

  • the reason its not coming out like the restaurant ones is becasue your suppose to leave it still, not turn it every second

  • Boy! those look delicious! Kinda reminds me of going to the Puyallup fair here in the Seattle area. And yes, you've gotta have the mustard. Such an indulgent treat. Hey!, little story for ya... couple months back I was low on groceries. I had some hot dogs but no buns. Sooo.. I fried up a corn tortilla and put the dog in it etc. Then I was like.. "Boy! that tastes familiar!" finally it dawned on me.. "It's a corn-dog you dolt!" haha ok, put up with me..lol.

    Love yer vids, thanx!

  • @peanutsthyname

Thanks and I would agree with you!

  • Corndog is sooooooooooo yummy! :-P

  • @punkrevo

    Thanks :)

  • i love corndogs but i dont have cream corn what els can i use

  • @therockforever2

James, you can use canned/tinned corn or fresh corn and mince or grind it up very well. You can also leave it out, the amount that you use can vary because it is a batter.

Cream corn is corn that has been partially minced with all the milky juices that come out of it with a dash of sugar and salt and slightly thickened.

    Thanks for asking!

  • wow

  • @bhavin12300

    Thanks!

  • those look amazing! i dont even hot dogs, but you're tempting me :)

  • @2Feet1Wheel

I am not a huge fan of hot dogs, but I do like the beef ones that are kosher and even like the Oscar Mayer beef ones.

You cannot buy the real cheap ones.

  • @freitasex Hebrew National kosher dogs are the best! Well, the best that I've had, anyway.

  • @notreallydaedalus

I agree that Hebrew Nat'l are awesome, but there are some others as well that do cost a bit lessl

You can never go wrong whith Hebrew National or any kosher hotdog in my opinion.

Oscar Mayer beef hot dogs are actually quite nice when on a budget, try them!

  • Curious why you did not want to do this one? They look way better then in the store! Looks great!

  • Those don't look like nearly as much trouble as I'd thought. May try it after all...

  • @thizizliz The main pain is all the oil, other than that ... they are easy!

  • @freitasex Yeah, that's the drawback in frying anything really. We have a deep fryer and tend to cook a BUNCH of stuff, freezing the leftovers for later. They usually warm nicely in the oven. But sometimes you just want a corn dog!

  • Looks Delicious.

  • @Rapidtime027

    Thanks!

  • I lime mustard and ketchup ! and some mayo

  • @YMSFSFNDS

You know what? That does sound good and I am going to try that!

  • mmmm those look SO friggin good! I want a corn dog now!!! :-)

  • @LukaIsntLuka They were very easy to make!

  • amazing!!! im jealous of u eathing those

  • @mostentertainment

God they were good, I ate 5 of them!

  • corndogs are the fucking best. I'm moving so maybe i'll try this after i get settled.

  • @noangel1987

Thanks and I think that you are an angel :)

  • Hey great idea. I like it !!

  • @skatexpress

    Thank you!

  • Looks interesting. The creamed corn sounds like it might make me like corn dogs!

  • @hallbe

What? I thought everybody liked corndogs!

  • I never knew what corndogs were before but I really want some of these, they look great! :)

  • @simon250505

Isn't that they best thing about YouTube, you can see what people from around the world eat and why we are so fat over here, lol.

  • @sizzlingtv27

    Wow, thanks!

  • I've never made corn dogs myself because I usually don't have cornmeal at home. This is a good reason to buy some...

  • @MGABBYB

    Wow Mary, thanks :)

  • I will have to try this..look"s great .. thank's for sharing

Wow #1 you are just the best :)

Sorry that I forgot it was you.

  • @freitasex yup and no probs

  • A double video day... YAY!!!

  • @undrtkr26

Yes 2 vids and another one tomorrow for you!

  • With that groovy music and the way those corn dogs came out it looks like the start to a bad porno

  • @sweet00976

I think you mean a good porno ... lol

  • Awesome. Those dogs look delicious.

  • @fezan84 I prefer dogs over cats, lol

  • I didn't know that corn dogs can be fried? Anyway, I was trying to make my own french fries. But it didn't work out. The outside was burnt. But the inside was still raw. I use corn oil for my french fries. Is that okay?

  • @OS253

Corn oil is fine for frying up fries.

I would have to watch you make them to tell you what to change.

I do have a Fish and Chips video where I make french fries, maybe that could give you an idea?

  • Thank you for the recommendation. I will check out your Fish and Chips video. Being from Laos, I didn't know that Chips are the same as French Fries. That's why I'm soooo confused.

  • Hey, those look good! You have such a wide range of cooking experience! 5 stars!!
