  • it suckes because my teacher makes us take notes in cursive so it is really hard sometimes to read what i wrote down any tips for that??

  • when typing up your notes, do you take your notes from the textbook or the lecture notes?

  • @trinklestarlove *for the final exam study guide

AND...also about notes, what do you do in terms of notes, since you've covered on how you organize lecture notes, do you also make notes from the textbook? I'm in my first year, and i'm confused about how to make efficient notes from lecture and the textbook doing this weekly and then studying for the finals.

  • i love your school tips videos! i have a question though.. i will be a college freshman next year (also studying pharmacy!) and i want to know to you if it makes sense to hand write notes in class, but back at the dorm to type them up? does that sound like a waste of time or another way to study what you just learned? thank you!

  • @aelizabethka - You can definitely do it that way. It would help refresh your memory on what was taught in class and help you organize your notes that way. Not a waste of time at all if it helps you and you can use it as study material for exams.

  • How do you print out your notes from class? Do you ask the teacher if she can print it?

  • @BlackRose18br - Some teachers provide their notes online so you can decide to print them. I take notes in class on my laptop also, and I print those before the exam.

  • @BlackRose18br LAYLA I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE :3

  • don't the schools in america/USA provide you books for each class -_- because that's how it is in the UK and everything is a lot easier x

  • @Alovesvintage - Provide books? In college you have to buy your own textbooks. In most high schools the books are provided.

  • I've got a problem studying languages. I'm cool with pure Biology and Chemistry, but I just can't grasp my language. Can you help for that? My language is Mandarin :) ty so much!

  • @tropicalpassion13 - I'll try my best to make a video for languages :)

  • @tropicalpassion13 hi, i go to chinese school every weekend and learn mandarin also :)

I'm not sure if this is useful, but i just make notes and mindmaps and also have a mini notepad for grammer words and another one for "linking words" (because, although, after wards etc, this is pretty useful for essays)

on utube they have a lot of videos with mandarin lessons which may be dialogues, back to basics or simply having a look at grammar.

  • @tropicalpassion13 also:

if i am reading chinese and don't know what a character is or have forgotten what i do is i highlight it, look at my dictionary then write the english write beside the character in the text, i'm not sure why but my friends and i find that pretty helpful.

    hope this helps a little!!

  • thank you for helping :)

  • are you a bioligists?

  • @JBluverforeverz - No, just studying biology

  • i now use a binder for my notes now (: and it has helped me alot(: thankyou so much !!

  • I love your handwriting on the tabs! Or was it typed??? lol

  • Thankyouuuu!(:

  • i write too much when i take book notes. i take ALOT of notes and end up over studying. Do have any tips for me on taking notes from the book.

  • @bgirl9008 - I usually don't take notes directly from my book, because yes you can overstudy that way. I would just take notes from lecture and if you need any extra information find it in the book. The chapter reviews at the end of chapters summarizes info for you, and I think that's better to take notes on so you don't write too much.

  • @nikkithebrat thanks...well two of my classes are online,so i have to kinda guide myself when it comes to notes.

  • @bgirl9008 - Oh I see. That still applies to online courses. I do the same, and I'm taking online courses right now. :)

  • @nikkithebrat I have a bad habbit of taking TOO many book notes..but the professors lectures arent really too helpful..and i dont want to end up over studying. Do you have any tips on what i could do?

  • your idea for the binder at the beginning of the video is absolutely BRILLIANT!! thanks soooo much for that idea its gonna help free up a lot of space in my bag.

btw: i think your stunningly beautiful. thanks again!! :) *subscribed*

  • @animegurl113 - Thank you for subscribing! I'm glad this videos helps :)

  • @nikkithebrat for middle school do you think i should use seperate binders for each class or notebooks+folders?please reply!!!!!!!!!!!!^_^

  • &You're really pretty !(:

  • I'm taking notes on this !

  • do you make your own study guides?

  • @bgirl9008 - Yes I make my own study guides. I have a video on how I make them.

  • the notes you showed us were from the book or were they lecture notes?

  • @bgirl9008 - Combination of both

  • Wow it's been exactly a year since you uploaded this

  • the pentel rsvp pens are good been using them every since high school.

  • Very organize. i like your system.

  • Are you a Filipino???

  • @nikkithebrat do you take math? could you do a math binder organization video?

  • omg i wanna take microbiology when i get to college

  • this was sooooo helpful cuz i started home study and this helped with organization

  • Thank you for your super helpful tips...as an incoming freshman, this has helped me alot! Thanks so much! :)

  • That was amazing! I love how calm you are and these tips helped me so much!!! :D Good luck (not that you need it) ;b

  • your tips helped me so much i went from a C to a B in math :)

  • @Ionlyloverock - So glad to hear that! :D

  • You don't have to print each page one by one in order to get the slides back and forth in the page...you can select in the printing options to print "only even" and "only odd" pages. You can print all the odd pages and then all the even pages and you're done! You don't even have to rearrange the pages after you've printed the odd ones.

  • 80,000th view :D

  • @ZacksPC - Thank you <3

  • handwritten notes and drawings are definitely musts for anyone in science. i study microbiology and immunology, and they really help when studying. at least for me, it helps me remember the details.

  • Thank you that really helped :)

  • What do you major in? :)

  • out of curiosity, what is your current colourcoding system? What do each of the colours represent to you?

  • @1dokbokki - I usually highlight the chapters with green, the major topics with blue, important key terms with pink or orange, and the details with yellow :)

  • @nikkithebrat thats a good idea :)

  • 04:47 do you draw pictures like these in class? do you have time for it?

cause my chemistry teacher doesn't give us enough time.

and how many binders/notebooks/pens do you have??? it looks like you have A LOT.

do all those pens fit in one pencil case?

I wish I was good at keeping my notes organized like you are :(

I just... suck at keeping my notes organized.

I'm too impatient and my handwriting is italic, so my notes are always messy.

  • @sssjj789 - I don't draw pictures in class but I draw them out the day before class so I have them ready for class and can add any extra notes the prof teaches. I actually only use 1 binder, but I have a lot of pens. I'll have the basic black pen, mechanical pencil, then a bunch of colorful ballpoint pens and highlighters. They all fit in my case.

  • @fuzzy15946 I got them a while ago but all my supplies are from Office Max.

  • Comment removed

  • hey nice video and where did you get those dividers? i am searching for them

  • your tips are awesome! :D

  • @missemsie06 - I like to learn new things, I take upper division anthropology classes as well for fun because I love learning about different cultures around the world. :) And I'm also interested in medicine and disease.

  • Did you like microbiology? I have to start planning what classes I want for college because I want to go into dentistry and my counseler said microbio is a must have, thanks!

  • @TayMad666 - I liked learning about viruses and virions in microbiology but there's just so much information like having to re-learn the cell and the krebbs cycle and all that. For some people it's a hard class, but I found it interesting. Good luck with dentistry! You definitely need similar classes I took :).

  • Thank you for not saying syllabuses!!!

  • @TayMad666 - Lol yes I'm educated I know the correct plural word for syllabus. :P

  • Can You make A Video How To Get stuff For a Binder For 5th Grade

  • @MrElifant - yes

  • what is your degree in?

  • @812jessmess - pharmacy doctorate

  • This video is making me motivated to study....except the semester is over and I have a month until next semester. Hopefully I'll be motivated then!

  • you can actually print it without the hassle of flipping it one by one you can just insert page numbers and print the papers in accordance with even numbers and then odd numbers that way it will still print as back to back without flipping it one by one....(",)

  • @vantoten - I figured that out :) I found it under paper handling and you choose even or odd pages. Saves me a lot of time haha.

  • @nikkithebrat YOU POSTED THIS ON MY BDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG IM SO SLOW!!!!!!!!!!! I JUST NOTICED THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OGM GOM GOMG OGMG OGMG GOMGOGMG lol im slow and goofy

  • You go to college and take that as a chemistry class?

  • @KristinMercier she needs it for her major....so she has to

  • @cupcakexkx So she goes to college right? Because what she shows is something that we take in high school classes o.O that's why I am surprised...

  • @KristinMercier I am currently studying pharmacology(university) and have 2 classes of organic chemistry : introduction and the real class... and they're alot harder than what I learned last year (it's my first year in university)

  • @KristinMercier - I take organic chemistry yes. College doesn't mean you're taking all upper level courses, you work your way up there. I'm applying to a program that offers a PhD so of course you must first study the basics. I chose easier classes to demonstrate in this video. I took chemistry in high school too, but it's no where close to as easy as it was in high school.

  • @nikkithebrat that's chool :)

  • where did you get those pens?

  • what type of sheet protectors do u use like medium or heavy weight also do u use standard sheets or high capacity sheets ????

  • @Greenlover57 - Wow those are very detailed questions. I really don't know, I just purchase whatever is cheaper.

  • I'd like to ask you umm its the end of the school year and i already bought new textbooks.. so any tips you suggest i do to keep up on my studies and stuff for next year?

  • are you studying to be a pharmacist?

  • @anrol95 - yes

  • @nikkithebrat me 2!

  • I have a question, well Im not satisfied with the teacher's PowerPoint (it may be too overloaded w/ extra information and out of organization),what will you do? Because I'm having this problem now.I love your tips btw:)

  • @913bev - I have that problem with power points too. I use it just as a reference when I make my own study guide. That way I get information from it, but just the information I need for the exam.

  • Love this!!!! Can you do a tour of your desk? Thanks! :)

  • @madalyn12033 - I don't have a "desk tour" but if you search up my latest room tour, I show you my desk and all my supplies there :)

  • @nikkithebrat Okay, thank you!

  • You are so neat! You must do really well in school C:

  • @SuperLittleWaffle - In most subjects I do well. Being organized can only get you so far, you still need to take the time and effort to study, go to class, and really want to learn :).

  • the idea with the finder was realy good and it helped me! thank u!!! :)

  • @annthefashionista - You're welcome :D

  • tank you so much this really helped me

  • @RedenMusik483 - Glad it helped! :D

  • your handwriting is so neat!

  • This is so helpful. I'm a bioengineer major and I have a huge problem with being unorganized. this is so helpful! I'm in Ochem 2! Love that class :)

  • This was so helpful! Thanks so much!

  • typing out helps me too but I have to write and type it out other wise I wont remember. I love highlighting my notes as well. thanks for the great tip! :)

  • @SuperAwsome27 Do you have a staples were you live. Or at a local grocreyy store they usually have a like.... place were all these kid of thigs are.

  • This really helped and I'm only in 6th but my English teacher really wants us to know how to study so were like learning that and the highlighting thing really helped me the most and i have a test coming up Friday do I'm defiantly using this

  • @countrygirlshooter - Yes I do have a playlist of school tips :)

  • for handwritten notes i have horrilble handwriting and i can't read my notes can u plz make some tips

  • @am24dog - I'm not really sure how to give you tips on improving your handwriting but I would suggest maybe typing out notes instead. Or just slowing down while you write.

  • @am24dog i had the same problem & i recently just started typing my notes & it really helps me a lot because i can go thru everything & its nice and neat :)

  • @am24dog or you can just take notes quickly and then when you get home, you can write them slower so you'll revise everything you've learned and your notes will be clean :)

  • @Ellumz thank you

  • @am24dog Try what I did: Literally all I did was looked at a few different fonts I liked and put my own take on them. I wrote my alphabet and the numbers 0-9 the way I liked over and over until I wrote them down pretty quickly and now my handwriting is 1000 times better than it used to look. :) My friends have also used this trick and its worked for them :) hope I helped

  • @am24dog Type them out

  • yay you re studying medecine

  • @MissElbaroda - Yes, hope to make a difference some day!

  • I'm in 6th grade and I use these tips so I guess it doesn't have to be for collage....

  • @in0471 - Nope, all my school tips apply to everyone! I just happen to be in college so I give tips that I personally use.

  • this really helped thank you! I don't know if you already said in the video, but do you colour code things with your highlighters or do you just highlight with any random colours for different buts so it looks pretty? ahaha xx

  • @totallyinstyle - Definitely color code! I usually highlight larger topic areas with blue or green. Smaller topics with orange or pink and the details with yellow. So it makes sense, but it's still colorful and catches my eye. :)

  • im in jr high. and the binder thing really helped:)

  • these are really good tips im still i high school but it still helps haha. im going to major in german so this will help so much. and your really pretty, great vid!

  • @MsLauren51 - Yes, it is hard lol. Not gonna lie.

  • im jr in high school and i am a terrible note taker, especially in history! she mostly lectures, i just don't know what to write down. for the powerpoints, do you print them off before they teach you it since you have side notes on yours? thats awesome that you make your own notes? are you in college?

  • @jojojuly101 whoops, didnt mean to put ? after notes. please give me all the advice you can to suceed in high school :) please message me here on youtube. thanks, and im subbing :)

  • @jojojuly101 go on your school website and from there you can find your teachers website. you can probally find powerpoints for the upcoming week on sunday night of friday afternoon. this is what i like to so haha good luck with jr high, im in nintermediate now

  • @RedenMusik483 i said i am a jr in high school.

  • @jojojuly101 i know...

  • @jojojuly101 - It depends, if they're available I print them before lecture so I can put side notes on it. If power points are not available I do type out my own notes. And yes I'm in college. :)

  • @nikkithebrat what year in college? are you almost done? i want to go into nursing :) a RN with a masters. heard its not easy either. what exactly do you want to do in pharmacy? whats hard about pharmacy?

  • Hi, Nikki. i just saw your channel, and watched your school tips and i really love them. They are very useful, since i'm studying Molecular Biology and Genetics i'm familiar with all those classes you had. I will be sophomore this semester, and i will try to practice these tips while studying. Thanks you soo much :)
