Don't get me wrong, what he played was amazing, I certainly couldn't even come close to doing it, Gavin Harrison is my all time favourite drummer, I've even met him. However, he has said himself that solos aren't really his thing, and it does show. His studio pieces (Anesthetize for example) are fucking masterpieces. I'm not really a fan of drum solos though, so I'm sort of biased.

@mtndewman1022 Yeah I know what you mean, definitely. If you aren't a drummer then fast playing is pretty much all you'll care about unless you're in a band. I love Royster too, anyone who says he's bad is kidding themselves because he's not. He's super fast but he can groove amazingly too. I still prefer Gavin over anybody else though. The guy is a virtuoso, extremely innovative and knows so much about his instrument and music in general. Super nice guy as well.
