  • I personally don't care for amalgam fillings. I know they last a long time but when they break,

they break big. The prep for these usually removes alot of tooth structure and that is no good.

And doesn't the ADA hold the patent to amalgam fillings? So of course they don't want to be at fault at all for the risks involved with mercury. Its toxic we all know it. When you mix this material it hardens and then over a period of years, it wears and cracks and breaks...It's like a wedge in your tooth

  • mercury stays in your skull for 40 years so removing mercury fillings don't do shit your basically your fucked.

  • @video0bserver So just get all teeth filled with mercury? maybe suck on mercury lolly pop?

  • Removing mercury fillings does not remove the mercury poisoning. If you have mercury poisoning from mercury filling (or any other source), removing the source of the problem will not fix the problem. Mercury remains in your system indefinitely unless it is specifically removed via a treatment such as chelation.

  • @MsHojat If you have aid in your ass maybe, but if you don't have aid another cock might give you aids.

  • @amerikaiscommunist What????

  • @sheree1969 just qa little sarcasm someone said don't remove the filllings because it won' tdo any good.

  • The ADA was wrong 150 years ago when it said Amalgam Fillings didn't release mercury, and it's just as wrong today when it says that mercury released from amalgams isn't enough to cause health hazards to anyone, except for a very small number of people who are allergic to mercury. What is even more amazing is that some pro-amalgam dentists, in spite of the ADA's admission to the contrary, continue to believe and tell patients that amalgams don't release mercury.

  • I persoanlly think dentistry is dodgy as fuck.

  • @210482fmj - I personally believe you don't know what you're talking about.

  • @DarthVulva he's right, it is dodgy....

  • when they took my mercury out... the dam vapors went everywhere... i feel bad for those hygenists that have to breath it all in all day... grosssssss

  • just pull out the tooth and replace it with an ceramic tooth? i bet its MUCH cheaper and ALLOT safer that his >.>

  • @barrowscasper12 - It's not cheaper at all. It's ALOT more expensive. They have to drill in to the jaw, wait to see if it is taken, and then attach the tooth. It takes many visits and is considerably more expensive.

  • @DarthVulva hmm, guess youre right...

  • @allenrobinson2012 when the sodium and chlorine atoms separate, the chlorine will have a negative charge. when the chloride bonds to the sodium, it is attracted by the positive charge of Na, so no matter whether cholrine separates or bond to Na, it still carries the negative charge. so you are saying, only when chlorine has no charge is it considered dangerous?

by the way, what is your backgroun?

  • @allenrobinson2012 Except that in Bachelor/Master of dental SCIENCE degrees students are required to study chemistry, and are given extensive education on the use and safety of dental amalgams throughout their training.

  • The emphasis on this video, and rightly so, is safe amalgam removal protocols. Find a dentist who is properly trained in mercury-safe protocols. As to the comment below on composite fillings, it should be emphasized that there is no perfect dental filling material. However, composites and other ceramics, when done properly by a skilled dentist, have a very long life span. Gold is not perfect, and many patients do better avoiding any metal alloys in the mouth.

  • i think i just had my first Amalgam filling today.

i want to remove it now.

which types of filling are safe for me?

    Please help me.

  • @s2003m0205

Composite fillings should be relatively safe (non-toxic) but I've heard that they do not last that many years and have some other downsides. Gold fillings should be safest and definitely non-toxic and last long enough. Anyway, don't rely just on my post but do your own research. Good luck.

  • This topic is hot. I recently saw the trailer of an upcoming documentary called "Mercury Undercover" check it out... It's on youtube, just type it and you'll see!

  • Hey Folks!!!! Don't you know that Mercury is safe! C'mon!!! the FDA said so!!! you can eat a gallon of the stuff, no problem!!! you do believe your government officials don't you? don't you?! Mercury isn't poisionous - just don't eat fish cause their are high levels of mercury in fish.....or any well water that's tested with high levels....and make sure when you break a mercury thermometer that you call a hazardous material company to clean it up - but it won't hurt you! riiiggghhhht.

  • @LucifersLapdog i have read nemerous reports on how toxic amalgam fillings are, but at the same time, many dentists are still performing amalgam filling procedures and defending them as well. What is getting me really confused here is when the dentist tells me that mercury is non-toxic WHEN it is binded to other compounds in amalgam fillings. They even gave me a totally rational example that Cl (chloride) is toxic if ingested, but becomes salt (sodium chloride). what should i say? so confused
