The reason this happened is because they were filming. I am guessing that it was part of the scene in the movie where bumblebee went through the intersection and drifted behind the other cars it makes since because megaton and the others are going bye in what would seem perfect timing for the camaro to slide in behind them and thus it is the police officers fault

So this is why the camaro weighs over 3800 pounds and has the visibilty of a cave/ small lame Batwing trunk opening. The F-body had wide hatch and can seat a couple people up to 6'2 in the back without touching the rear roofline. This is why the chevy camaro is fail too radical and immature with their designs.
