Don't worry, I looked for a genuine croco-box for a quite a while but I guess they are long gone. I found this amp on the net and it was totally destroyed, the box was gone and the circuit was messed up pretty bad but one of my friends managed to save the amp. I guess this would be a 2000€ amp with the right speakers and the original croco-cab..
Fairy Nuff! So my two must be worth a packet, then... not that I'd even consider selling them - or my original Selmer Clavioline 'Concert'...!
Incidentally, that hum can be reduced by fitting a gain cntrol on the output stage, a mod I've done to mine. There's still loads left, so it doesn't affect the overall welly.
We'll actually that's just me bragging with my Selmer.. The actual amp-part is from a Selmer Zodiac 2x12 combo but I made the wood-work and tolex-work by myself =)
Hi there, I wonder if you can help me! I see you're using a texas heat speaker. Do these give off hiss? Also could I play bedroom volume with it? I'm using a 40w fender blues deluxe..
I guess I'm already late, but anyway: Some hiss comes through the Texas Heat but it has pretty much rolled-off high treble. For bedroom volumes I guess it's OK but I think that some low-watt alnicos are much much better.
How do you like your Menatone Dirty Blonde? I ask because I just got an older Menatone Blue Collar Overdrive a couple days ago, and I don't know that I'm bonding with it. I was looking for an old Red Snapper becuase I have heard those and they sound good, but I heard the BCO was similar to a Red Snapper but with a little more gain so I got one of those. I'm not sure I like it yet, and was wondering what your thoughts were on your DB, as I might like it better? Thanks for the video and any help!
I love the Dirty Blonde, it's the first OD pedal that does really what a OD is supposed to do, add some overdrive to the signal. All the others I've tried lose some of the highs and lows and somehow squeezes the signal losing dynamics. However, the Dirty Blonde is pretty much a one-trick pony, it does the -62 Bassman sound pretty good but that's it. Also the bass is a little too mushy with gain over 10 o'clock but still this is the best I've tried so far.
Your timing isn't all that bad. Just practice.

Hmmm... there's no way I'd cannibalise my two Selmer Zodiacs... did yours meet with a horrible accident to make you resort to that?

Nice sound. Selmer weren't shy about writing their name on their amps!!
Those letters must be 6 inches high!!
