... I find it funny that everyone loves to talk about Gilmour getting high-sticked by Gretzky in 1993, but no one talks about how Gilmour clearly hooked McSorley on this play. I guess some fans see only what they wanna see?
@JTDutch also, that was not a penalty in old time hockey. I remember when i first started referring about 10 years ago, it wasnt even a hooking penalty unless the player hooked for more than 3 seconds then it was a penalty lol....those were the days
I remeber that game Vernon let in a goal that gave the kings the lead in the 2nd period, they shot from the blue line and it went in, really bad goal. Then late in the contest I thought to myself kings are going to win on a terrible goal this blows, then Gary roberts scores late and ties it up. Overtime Kings blow it and the Killer takes which would be eventually a four game sweep. Great memories! This game was the closest match in the series.
