Hip-Hop has really changed from the good old days. It's been a real long time since i heard someone having a dj scratching on the track or b-boys in the video. What Happened to Hip-Hop.
Check out "Scratch" about 41 minutes in, first you'll see Roc Raida doin some sick sh*t with an LL sample that can't be overlooked, but then you'll see the most creative use of the "step up if you wanna get hurt" sample by this asian cat Jay Slim he even re-words . Must see movie for true heads...
how fuckin old is this? wow, my friend Deirdre directed this shyt... this was around the time I started working in music videos... damn, thanks for posting this... too bad u disabled the link...
I'm not dissing the track, but his flow's not sound. It's passable. His syllable counts are off and he rhymed milk and guilt. Those aren't similar. His verse is like hacked together. you know Melle Mel wouldn't have dropped something like that. The rest of the track is money. That beat is killer. And, once again, I'd blast this shit in the whip any day.
Cool song.

What more can I say?
That is the real shit right there. Raw and real, and nobody bragging about being stupid enough to get fucking shot.
Yeah Milk ain't the smoothest, but he got way deeper soul than the mushmouthed, bullshit thugz that call themselves hip hop today.
