This 03 cobra came supercharged from the factory at 390 horsepower. The vette came with 505 stock. Obviously the vette would win if they were both stock. Plus I'm sure a supercharger isn't the only thing changed about the cobra. It could have gears, a tune, exhaust, intake, headers, ect. There's a lot more to it than the engine buddy.

No offense but despite poor sales the GTO that was running on the Australian chassis handles a lot better then any mustang out there. Being it ran the LS1 and LS2 motors it can mod to what ever you pockets allow for. Sounds like a great car to me, even if it did fail for GM at selling.

How is a stock Cobra not fast? I have a slightly modded 2000 Mustang GT. THAT isn't fast. An 03-04 Cobra, is fast. I think anything dipping into the 12's is fast. I own a Mustang and a Vette, lets be real, there is no comparison. The Vette is CLEARLY the better car. Its apples and oranges, now if you wanna talk drag, if I were to put a couple of dollars into the Mustang it would do what the Vette does in a straight line race, but it would still just be a Mustang.

This 03 cobra came supercharged from the factory at 390 horsepower. The vette came with 505 stock. Obviously the vette would win if they were both stock. Plus I'm sure a supercharger isn't the only thing changed about the cobra. It could have gears, a tune, exhaust, intake, headers, ect. There's a lot more to it than the engine buddy.

No offense but despite poor sales the GTO that was running on the Australian chassis handles a lot better then any mustang out there. Being it ran the LS1 and LS2 motors it can mod to what ever you pockets allow for. Sounds like a great car to me, even if it did fail for GM at selling.

@Th3yCaLLM3M0nK3y Before I went solely the Camaro route I was looking into 5.0 Cobras, couldn't seem to find one I liked.... after a deployment, switching between a truck and a car 4 times I decided to go Camaro and loved my decision ever since. I don't judge people for what Muscle they like, I judge them on the option of Muscle they went with. If that makes sense, basically I don't care that you have a Mustang, just what kind of Mustang. Lol

My buddy from high school has an anniversary 4.6gt, I've been trying to get him to let it lose on the road with me just to cruise instead of letting it rot in storage but he won't for some reason. I will tell you this, I respect the Mustang... It's the only car that I enjoy battle with, and the only car I have felt fear from before a race. I really only respect 5.0's and Cobra's, I don't respect the 4.6L GT. (not 1 bit)

How is a stock Cobra not fast? I have a slightly modded 2000 Mustang GT. THAT isn't fast. An 03-04 Cobra, is fast. I think anything dipping into the 12's is fast. I guess it's all subjective, but I personally think that 12's qualifies a car as being fast. WTF is the world coming to? Since when is a 390hp, 12.x second, supercharged Cobra, not fast? I mean shit, top fuel cars yank 4 second 1/4's, so I guess everything is slow then.

I own a Mustang and a Vette, lets be real, there is no comparison. The Vette is CLEARLY the better car. Its apples and oranges, now if you wanna talk drag, if I were to put a couple of dollars into the Mustang it would do what the Vette does in a straight line race, but it would still just be a Mustang.

@cjm04 Kind of a dumb comment. Corvette's should stop being compared to Mustangs for the simple fact that they are in different categories, and VERY different price ranges. An '03 or '04 Cobra can get 500HP with an exhaust, pulley and good tune - for a *fraction* of the price of a 'Vette. Corvettes are high end sports cars, Cobras are more affordable, but still put out amazing power with only 4.6 liters of displacement.

I agree Cobras are the best bang for the buck and to be honest ONLY a Cobra can be compared to a Corvette you have to remember that Mustangs are pony cars that are suppose to be against Challengers Camaros and I guess you could throw chargers in there. Corvettes are super cars like Shelby's and Vipers.
