The music, if I'm not mistaken, is by David Lowe who has composed a bit of music for the BBC. This sounds like "Wild Caribbean" at the beginning and another of his tunes, the name of which I'm not sure of, which the narrator talks over.
If you took away the corruption, the politics, the ignorance and the pseudo postcolonial culture of the DR, it could have been heaven on earth. Unfortunately a country with so much natural resources has been culturally devastated by multinationals, corrupted politicians, rampant disregard for the laws, and ignorance of the uneducated majority. DR is controled by an elite who ransack the precious resources from the uneducated few. DR is such a 'colonial' name, Quisqueya is a better 1 4 tourism
i live in dominican republic and i can say, i live in the paradise, we have all kind of waterfalls, rivers, the most high volcanic mountains in all the caribbean islands, 3,078 meters avobe the sea level, all kind of beaches, rain forests, mountain cluod forests and deserts, we have anything!!!!

OMG I saw these episodes on the Travel Channel a couple of weeks ago. My immediate rection was: I wonder if they have this on DVD... I can't wait to get it on DVD!!! First of all the narration is unpararell, the content superb, in short: a visual delight for anyone interested in the region and even if you're not into wildlife. That's the place I call home too! now I live in Hawaii, a unique place but the turquoise water of the Caribbean are calling my name again. Get these DVDs now! Aloha.

@1961dra
The original score by David Lowe was released on 29 January 2007 as a soundtrack CD, Wild Caribbean, on the EMI label.
You can buy it downloading on iTunes, or the CD on ebay (keyword: 'Wild Caribbean - Music By David Lowe') About 17$

I feel alive when i watch these images and hear this music. It's a paradise; the water, the sun, the colors, the wildlife, all is a truly paradise.
