ok,i might like the guild better, but this is awesome too.wonderful playing.i'd love to hear the same piece on lots of different guitars, such as resos and semi hollows through a champ, haha
I have a 000-18 that is 1952 vintage, and I love the sound. Of course, a lot depends on your miking with these Martins, and the low wnd wasn't meant to compete with drednought guitars. Still I have loved it since 1969. Getting about ready to put it up for sale. Interested?
@timeliss You're right.. but i hope it's not ment as a compliment.. i think he forgets to make the difference between the bass (strings) and harmony (strings) In this way there is to less difference between them. It's also played rudely without any feeling.. But it seems that lot of Martin players onYoutube have the same problem with their guitars!
Hello sir, great playing and a very nice sounding guitar. Do you have any tabs written out for this piece? I take it its your own improvisation, its sounds awesome!
Do you find the bass at all lacking on the 000-28? In some videos, it's like the low E is almost silent. I love the sound of these 000-28s, but that almost scares me into thinking I "need" the one with scalloped braces. Yet I love the treble/mid of the unscalloped.
In this video, on the other hand, the low E sounds great. Maybe it depends upon the playing. Sounds great here.
@everysinglenamesgone Hi! The 000-28 is certainly not known for it's bass volume (and projection in general) but it has this sweet "boxy" sound very much appreciated by blues lovers such as myself (and a few million others :)), however, and since you mention it, I must point out the 000-MMV to you (see crossroad clip) which is an amazing guitar from Martin, with much more volume and bass than the 000-28 (and much more affordable too)... I litterally fell in love with that one! :)
WOW Incredible my friend. Looking for a guitar teacher that can bring me to playing this kind of thing. I'm not very far off... but I haven't put the time in yet to learn fingerstyle blues. It's the most beautiful thing to see you coax those sounds out of your 000-28!! Cheers!
That was truely amazing i wish i had the money to buy such a guitar but i have to save up for a while just to get a 00-15 instead, but i really want o learn how to pick bass notes but i too have an akward playing style and have not had any good acoustic guitars but very inspiring i took a while to listen too it several times and then try to get some lick down. THANK YOU, Gabe
@gossedward Thanks! Finger picking is actually fairly recent to me, there is so much more you can get out of a guitar using your fingers as opposed to a pick..... My hand postion seems awkward to some, it's just what came naturally to me,as I am self taught.
good guitar as well as the player. how old is that guitar?
