I gotta agree with the first response, though i love the goddess songs and chants on here there is almost nothing even mentioning the god. I understand that it is based on what each beleive but it would be nice to have that duality in the music. Atleast something you know. In fact, although I once preferred Full Moon rituals (esbats) to the Sabbats, now, as a result of studies while preparing for public rituals I conducted, I prefer rituals related to the sun/god such as Summer Solstice or Mabon.

@wolflover17 Tell your Catholic family that there are many similarities in both religions. Since you're Wicca, you can ask The Virgin Mary for aid in circle. (This actually happened. PM me if you want the story). And you can ask them to attend Circle (Pagan mass) with you and have fun singing and dancing. :) I wish you luck.
My son died in an accident June 10 2010, it is now 2 months since his death and I had my descent to Hades, it was this song that reminded me that we all come from the Goddess and will return to her. So while I treasure his memories in this life, I can be consoled knowing that we will flow together when I reach that "ocean"

Our only rule is to never harm, To never hurt someone, or the Earth. Are we being "Evil" by following that rule? Use your brain and your heart rather than replacing both with your bible. We aren't evil, nothing we do is evil.
Wicca is not a lie, its real. It probably didn't work for you (if you've tried it) because you didn't truly believe in it and know that it was for the greater good and not for yourself.

Did you ever actually get into Paganism? Paganism and science go hand-in-hand, we just put a magical spin on things to make them a little more interesting. Of course if you're not comfortable with it that's fine, but most Neo-Pagan movements are very in tune with science. If you get the chance, you should read Starhawk's book "The Earth Path". She even has a short story that's basically evolution, but with some universal energy, goddess, and seeker stuff thrown in. It's a really good book.
It doesn't need to make sense to anyone else, it's a very personal experience, which, by the way, we don't try to shove down anyone elses throat like the christians with their mandate to convert everyone else to their ways, like it'll get them brownie points in heaven or something. Christianity is a religion full of intolorance, even though Jesus spoke against intolorance.

Sit and meet the plants that grow around you especially the weeds like dandelion, plantain, yarrow, clover, prunella these plants may serve as teachers if you can learn to be still and observe nature. keep your eye on the moon and its cycle from new to full and back. But see, wiccans don't really connect with the whole "you need to be saved" thing, because they don't believe there is anything to be saved FROM. Life after death isn't scary either, because almost all Wiccans and Pagans believe in reincarnation.
It is very offensive to pagans when you try to proselytize, so I'd try just being a friend and read all you can about it to try and reach them with understanding and tact. If you deem that necessary.

I myself am spiritual, but not quite into organized religion, and it makes me sick how it's almost ALWAYS those who follow the christian faith who are try to tell you what you're doing- who you are- is wrong because it's not like THEM! It's disrimative, predjudice, and vulgar. My whole family is christian, but I'm glad to say at least MOST of them aren't shoving Jesus Christ and the Bible in your face all the time.

It says in the bible that once Jesus died he went to the gates of hell and gave all those who before had no choice in going to heaven or hell a chance to accept him as Gods son. And the Catholic way is definitely not for the better. Haven't you ever noticed that all the ppl being exorcised from demons are always Catholic? xD .... I was a christian but now Im a wiccan. I say that Wicca is WAY better and I would know.

Did you ever actually get into Paganism? Paganism and science go hand-in-hand, we just put a magical spin on things to make them a little more interesting. Of course if you're not comfortable with it that's fine, but most Neo-Pagan movements are very in tune with science. If you get the chance, you should read Starhawk's book "The Earth Path". She even has a short story that's basically evolution, but with some universal energy, goddess, and seeker stuff thrown in. It's a really good book.

It doesn't need to make sense to anyone else, it's a very personal experience, which, by the way, we don't try to shove down anyone elses throat like the christians with their mandate to convert everyone else to their ways, like it'll get them brownie points in heaven or something. Christianity is a religion full of intolorance, even though Jesus spoke against intolorance.

@amberb57 I agree with you 100% I come from a family of Christians and am Just now starting wicca. Ive already looked up more wicca music and saw so many christians judging wiccans and pagans for believing in a goddess and not "god" whom they aren't 100% sure about. Plus the ppl who criticize u arent truly christian as they claim to be. Jesus said himself that he will do the judging in the bible not the other way around.

My advice to you is to begin to connect with nature around you. Sit and meet the plants that grow around you especially the weeds like dandelion, plantain, yarrow, clover, prunella these plants may serve as teachers if you can learn to be still and observe nature. keep your eye on the moon and its cycle from new to full and back. If you have woods available spend time there. become one with the nature around you.

I understand your fear, I was once a Christian.
But see, wiccans don't really connect with the whole "you need to be saved" thing, because they don't believe there is anything to be saved FROM. Life after death isn't scary either, because almost all Wiccans and Pagans believe in reincarnation.
It is very offensive to pagans when you try to proselytize, so I'd try just being a friend and read all you can about it to try and reach them with understanding and tact. If you deem that necessary.

Eduardokenley1, I understand that what you believe is your own to believe. All I ask is that you show the same understanding to others, and not create negativity by pushing your beliefs onto others. It is also quite foolish to go into an obviously wiccan and/or pagan posting to do it. On the other hand if all you want is knowledge then ask. Don't just come in and push your belief system. It is very rude and offensive.

i agree completley with you! I myself am spiritual, but not quite into organized religion, and it makes me sick how it's almost ALWAYS those who follow the christian faith who are try to tell you what you're doing- who you are- is wrong because it's not like THEM! It's disrimative, predjudice, and vulgar. My whole family is christian, but I'm glad to say at least MOST of them aren't shoving Jesus Christ and the Bible in your face all the time.

In the Bible, it speaks of murder, scandals, and sacrificing diffenseless animals. In the end, if God truly is all-knowing and loving of all its creations, then would it not look past what, or who it is you believe will lead you into another life; if God truly loves anyone then it will look into your soul
