Kris Letang Controversial OT Goal vs. Canadiens 11.26.2011

Letang should never have been on the ice in overtime. After getting hit by Pacioretty late in the 3rd, he should have been in a room with a doctor for 15 mins. in case he was concussed (as per new NHL concussion rules).

He missed a bunch of games after this one with...wait for it... A CONCUSSION.

On the goal itself:

The official said himself that he lost sight of the puck = automatic whistle.

Alright, 1) To quote Price himself " I had the FUCKING thing covered" which is OBVIOUS! 2) We can clearly see Neal dragging Price with his leg a little before the goal 3) (This is a bit of nit picking but at this point) Letang had blood on his shirt, by the NHL rule book a player is not allowed to play if there is blood on his shirt. Can that goal get more controversial? Yeah... It could have been Brett Hull scoring...

All i stated was that it was good for letang to get the goal and you go berserk trying to defend a headshot. who cares where he was aiming. all it matters is where the point of contact was. i hate to say it but it was an illegal head shot and he should get suspended for it. and one more thing calm the fuck down and keep your cool instead of going crazy and showing everyone how immature you are and how many illegal hits are given penalities anyway??

@MrSleepercreeper its true that the hit pacioretty did was on letang head but why should he get suspended? i mean chara hit him last year and gave him a severe concussion but got away with no suspension. here all letang has is a broken nose which is a lot less severe then what pacioretty got. so if we follow the league's previous decisions there shouldnt be a suspension.

@jolegend13 the severity of the injury does not determine the suspension. chara pushed pacioretty into the station not extremely hard but it looked a lot worse because of the size difference. Paciorettys hit was a clear elbow to face (which sutton got 5 games for so you could say hes lucky) it doesn't matter if he broke his nose or not its still a suspension.
