Shindig did not have the technical capacity to broadcast both vocals & instruments live at the same time. Artists came in the day before & did the instrumental parts first. This was public info that the critics jumped all over when the shows came out on DVD/VHS. Check out Lennon at 5:20. His harmonica is playing but his lips are no where near the harmonica. If given a choice I think we all agree that we'd rather hear them sing live rather than lip sinc & have life instruments. Fab4-4Ever
