cool..can the sweeps be executed just using the thumb or fingers?? i dont use a pick..i can sweep downstrokes but not in the upstrokes..

@ashish185 Hmm..If I need to descend an arpeggio,pickless-I usually use all my fingers. But I know bassists that shred with their thumb!

@ashish185 I'm using a pick. It's a small jazz pick and I only use the very tip, so it's hard to see. But I also do a lot of hybrid pick/finger stuff. I guess it's a mixed bag.

@Someguitarplayer1 It looks like a Matt Raines Serena 7 string. It's $1800.00... which is quite damn reasonable for a beautiful hand-carved jazz box. My Strat cost more than that.
