m 90 is an auto gearbox.

Here it's an manual gearbox ; m46 or m 47 stock maybe.

nay the AW71 is the auto. the M90 was a ture 5spd manual only available in europe. as apposed to the M46-M47 which where 4spd w/overdrive.

the M90 was mainly used behind the 960 whiteblock but a redblock bellhousing version was made.

i've got one but it was on a "supposed 740"

in fact it was on a 960 like you said but not on a white block, was on a Diesel aka d24 6 cyl vw

that's why i made a mistake.... aw70 & bw55 are auto here on 240 ,740, 760

a zf 4 hp 22 is avaible on 760 only. manual are m 45:4 speed m 46 :4 speed +overdrive  m 47 and m47 "2" 5 sp manual.

wouldn't shift any faster than that, transmission was broken. Also couldn't launch it any harder at that time, the rear subframe wouldn't take the abuse either. It's since gone 11.8@122 (with me holding it back) -linuxman
