  • Comment removed

  • hi u mentioned u didnt render this video right can u tell me the best reder

  • The camera is amazing, the video is even better and the asian girl at 1:41 MADE ME SAVE THIS ON MY FAVORITES, SHE´S SO SEXY AND BEAUTIFUL!!

  • The quality is insane! I want to see samples in 20fps

  • if I got it right the t1i supports EF cameras. So does the 5d Mk II. Are EF lenses interchangeable between these two ?

  • Dude, I love you. You have the camera I want, you have an iPod Touch, and you wear Supras! You are my dream broski.

  • @rcblinker In Mexico they would call you a "desperado"

  • Dude I'm trying to decide over the Nikon D5000 or The canon T1i... I'm leaning towards the canon cause of the 1080p... How does it do recording in 1080p???

  • fucking love ratatat

  • i wouldnt want to put my brand new 700 buck camera 5 inches from the ground while riding a bike

  • @PAPASCROTUM345 well, aren't you boring!

  • First off all,super video;-)

But you did it with the new EOS 500D???

  • @Designfuzi please read video title...

  • @Designfuzi did you seriously just ask that

  • @Designfuzi ya he did

  • nice vid but PLEASE tell me the name of the song :(

  • PLEASE ANSWER:

How do you change focus while in video mode? Do you have to adjust it from the lens? Also, does it autofocus when something is brought near to the lens in video mode?

  • so why not use 1080.........720 is good?

  • Dude, sweet camera and Supra's.

  • Quick questions:

@ 0:18-0:31 - how did you focus the image from the background, and forground like that- how/which lense did you use to achieve this?

    And lastly:

What lense did you use to film the riding from 2:30- till the end?

  • @smrfox99 a 50mm f/1.8 II - you can pick one up for about 100 bucks anywhere, the lens at the end of the video was a sigma 10-20

    hope that helps :)

  • @fruitflyproductions

    Thanks so much, really appreciated.

  • @fruitflyproductions How is the Sigma for still shots?

  • @smrfox99

That ties into the DoF of the camera. having a shallow DoF allows for a more extreme change in focus of an object. the sensor on the Still cameras is big enough to achieve this dramatic change in focus, and is used constantly by amateur film makers.

like some of my videos ;o

  • @smrfox99

hey put the lens on manual focus and he just focused for the background to the foreground

or just the lens focusing back and forth from the background to the foreground

  • amazing. i'm thinking about buying this camera soon. any tips? haha.

  • nice shoes, SUPRAS ARE BEAST

  • for some reason... this was funny. haha

  • Dirty stoves, Supra Skytops and Asian girls FTW

  • awesome!!!!!!! nice video

  • the bike scene was really cool! So do you like this camera a lot? Because I really want to buy it.

  • omg the bike view is awesome!

  • That's awesome quality when you recorded the WOW game. What file extension does the video save as? .avi? .mpg? .mov?

  • i like this vid. and also very nice quality!!!!!!!

which camera do you think i should get????

(Canon EOS Rebel XS -or- Sony a330)

    Which is better?

    Plz reply to this!!!

    *Im going sky high*

  • @SecurityAlert458 canon XS

  • how much is it?!

  • Did you switch the AF off? The HD recording only works well with manual focusing.

Let me know. Thanks so much

  • that girl was pretty cute

  • The quality is awesome. I totally want this, but at 14 I can't afford it.

Yes, diehards, feel free to sneer at the 14 yr old who thinks she can become a decent director/photographer. I get it from my parents too.

  • WTF! crazy ass quality. good stuff man. i'd be scared to ride a bike while holding a camera like that though haha. very impressive HD movie quality. i always wanted a camera like that. but i guess for now i'll be stuck with my little canon sd780 haha. still thankful it records in HD but definitely not as cool as yours with the manual focus and better quality haha.

  • zombies!

  • Looks like you live in Vancouver

  • That girl at 1:28 made me laugh lol Sick video, I am thinking about getting this camera when I get all of my video shit payed for and out of the way.

  • nice, I just pre-ordered a T2i!! I sure will enjoy its 30fps 1080p!

  • whats the song?

  • What's the format when you import to your computer? Reply!

  • Can you not operate a computer? Try Google next time, or have some manners.

It's .AVI btw. You lazy POS.

  • i have the same camera.

    I have sony vegas too.

do you have to convert the videos.

i made a 40 second video and it took about 5 hours.

theres something wrong can you help?

  • Google how to render HD Video for YouTube. I can't explain how to do it in a simple comment, it's a little complex at first but you'll get the hang of it. Your computer might just suck, too.

  • I laughed at the noodles shot.

  • where do you live?

  • new westminster (vancouver-ish area)

  • i wasnt even watching it in hd and it still looked amazing!

  • at 1:04 fpc first person cooking

  • how did you mount the camera on the bike?

  • Tape.

  • awesome!

  • who's the cute asian girl?

  • A cute asian girl.

  • LMAO THE NOODLES AHAHHAHA

  • u live in Vancouver too? those look like the BC transit buses'

  • Nice video but can you're mate do anything other than wheelie and skid? lol

  • Yes, he's actually into downhill racing and can pull off some pretty epic stunts. Just hurt his knee(s) 1 month prior to the video was shot though so he was taking it easy.

  • I was wondering... What parts did you use the Canon 50mm F/1.8 II and the Sigma 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Macro? What do you think of those 2 lenses?

  • The 50mm was used at the parts with the iPhone, my friend laughing, and the girl on the teeter totter(sp?) And the Sigma 70-300 was only used on the part for the squirrel. The 50mm f/1.8 II is a wonderful lens and worth every penny. The 70-300mm is complete garbage and I would recommend saving your money for a better telephoto lens.

  • how did you do all the tracking shots while following the dude on the bicycle? also, the shot with a sideways view of the bicycle?

  • I'd like to know as well, they're very smooth.

  • Hand held with tripod attached.

  • Just hand held with the tripod still attatched for a bit of a ballast / steadicam effect.

  • seriously thinking about his camera. does it have "jello" effect though?

  • @Weber805

When you're shooting at 1080p, yes. You get the jello effect. When shooting 720p, it's hardly noticeable.

Keep in mind the jello effect can easily be fixed in some video editing programs.

  • I'm a still photo shooter but I am considering this due to the video capabilities. I've read reviews that say it is hard to get clean video, particularly while scanning or of moving objects. What is your take on this?

  • No, that only counts when you're shooting at 1080p (20fps) so you get the 'jello' effect when you pan left and right fast enough. At 720p (30fps) you experience none of this.

  • thats why i hate canon..their video film recording sucks..

  • Hahaha....did you happen to read the description? It's not very hard to miss. Don't be ignorant, because Nikon's video recording doesn't even go up to 1080p yet.

  • Canons..suck...Nikon for me all the way.hehe..

  • Hehe, sucker.

  • hehe i might,get this..cam.tight competition between the nikon d5000.

  • What video editor program did you use?

  • Feel free to read the video description next time. :D Sony Vegas 9.0

I use Adobe After Effects CS4 now though.

  • Great!

It does capture til 4 GB is reached or one hour.

Ehm I wonder how you did, that the camera on the downhill ride doesn't get out of focus.

Because I thought the autofocus was the main problem with this camera. Or did you fixed the focus?

  • :)

And no, the lens was fixed focus the entire time. The only time you would've noticed him out of focus is if he came really close to the camera, wide angle lenses have a deep depth of field so the focus doesn't need to be changed much. If it were a portrait lens you would def. need to worry about the focusing.

  • oh, one more thing: could you make a video where you show the different lenses you have, what you use them for, and what they cost etc?

    would be cool :D

  • Hahah sure... give me a day. Subscribe to me so you don't miss it?

  • @TheARTnSTUFF

yeah, i'd like this as well. and wow, the video quality looks pretty damn good, i really want this sucker now.

  • i have this same camera and when i shoot in 720p it wont upload in HD. when i shoot in 1080p it will upload in HD. How did you upload in HD with 720p?

  • Never heard of that problem? I think you have it backwards because YouTube only accepts 720p video. The 1080p should not work.

  • 1:34

haha da hab ich erst gecheckt das es deutschland is ^^

    an diesem spielplatzteil xD

  • e.n.g.l.i.s.h.

  • hes prolly asking the same question in my mind. whos the cutie? HAHA

  • lol Zombies

  • hey nice vid,

Can u suggest me one lens to buy with the body if i am more intrested in snaps like urban photography with bit of motion filiming. Shud i stick with the basic 18 55 lens or buy another one.

  • I'd stick with the 18-55, and buy a 55-200 later, but if you want one lens that has a bigger range a 17-85 might not be too bad for you.

  • thanks, 18 55 it is, zigma makes decent lens i hear, canons just too costly :(

  • Trust me, it's well worth the money. The more involved you get with photography the more you realize you get what you pay for.

  • good video where is this at, looks like im buying this cam, it is currently going for $850 in the US w/lens (bestbuy)

  • Thx. :) And in Vancouver, New Westminster. Good deal! I got mine for about that price in Canadian.

  • nice dude. what lens did u use for the bike scene? when you were filming the other guy. should I get this if I'm going to be doing a lot of filming aswell as pictures? also, did you film with autofocus on? thanks a million!

  • Sigma 10-20mm F/4 for the bike scene. And yes that would be a wise choice, seeing as it is a quality DSLR as well as a video camera. You can have autofocus when filming, but it's almost not worth using because it's so slow with most lenses. When you're filming with a fisheye or a wide angle you almost will never find the need to focus, anyway. Especially for sports oriented filming like biking and skating.

  • Thanks... Does it really only record 5 minutes of video? or is that just a myth

  • No, it films until the memory card is full. Bigger the memory card, longer the video.

  • dope camera...I am sold. You need a fisheye lens for riding and you could make some really bad ass vids on your DH bike. did you hold the camera while riding or did you make some sort of mount?

  • Thanks. :) And yeah, fisheye lens is the second lens on my list...just need a job first. D:

It's a trials bike, and no there was only a tripod taped to the bike at one scene. I have another video where the camera was mounted on the front with a huge tripod extended, but it broke. In the future I'll have a video up with plenty of interesting angles.

  • should I get this or the Nikon d5000?

  • Have you looked up ANY reviews on the internet?! I think the answer is pretty evident..

  • Cannon T1I for sure man!

  • are u sure , i should get this .

    if i got the nikon'

    would i want thiss ,

  • Why would you even consider the Nikon in the first place? Your comments are very unintelligent, look up some stuff before you ask any more questions...

  • man i just bought this camera, should get it in the next couple days, got my first credit card haha.. thanks to your video and others, 20fps on 1080 sucks but its also a dope picture camera so ah well, and the night shots alone blows most camcorders out of the water!

btw RATATAT is one of my fav, get their 9 beats album

  • Nice dude. Yeah 20 fps at 1080 is only good if the camera's on a tripod really... Hahahah, still awesome though. I have it in uTorrent as I send this. :) Thanks for the comment.

  • can u film more than 5 minutes?

  • You can film for 30 minutes at a time. I have never seen myself film up to 30 minutes at a time, though.

  • Nice !

How did you fix the camera to the bike at 0:35 ?

Thanks a lot for you reply

  • Just mounted a miniature tripod to the side with hockey tape. Used SEVERAL layers, though. So be careful if you attempt it.

  • the camera is awesom and afforadable.

  • : )

  • Yo, how did you get the camera mounted on your bike like that?

  • The camera is not mounted on the bike here.

  • hahah the ramen noodles

  • : D

  • far out that chik is hot haha

  • Uhh, thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • Obviously, why would a camera not be able to change the focus.

  • Does this camera ONLY record in depth of field or is it the different lens that you have to choose? Because I really dont want to fix the blurr and focus all the time.

  • Dood, if you don't know how to adjust a simple setting like focus and aperture, you definitely should not be getting into the realm of SLR cameras.

  • Yeah honestly you have no idea what you're talking about, research DSLR's and photography before you make any stupid choices.

  • lol. I did research it after I posted that comment. Which was two weeks ago! Yeah, I tend to ask questions before researching. And right after I ask it.. I look it up on google. So I already did all the research I needed. I'm taking a photography class, so I just needed a beginner type dslr. And this is the closest and cheapest out of the other ones i could find. Thanks :)

  • This is not the cheapest, nor very recommended for beginners. But go for it.

  • haha well this is my first canon and quality camera

  • hahah there's no rig footage in this video! I do have a rig which is riliable (after fixing it) though.

    thank you for the comment

  • every time I go to work on my bike I hear this song in my head

  • hahaha fantastic

  • dude your cousin looks like brenda song

  • i'm not asian, lol. nor is that my cousin (obviously)

  • did you mount the camera to your head @ 0:45 ?? if so id like to know how u were able to do that and if you were using any special gear

    it all looked very good

  • nope i had it in my hand and was riding with the other

  • wow, it looked pretty steady to me, seems like it woulda been hard to achieve

  • hahah hardly. i had the camera still on the tripod and i was using it sort of as a handle? which stabilized it a tiny bit. still very shaky though

  • That asian girl is really pretty!

  • i'll let her know!

  • POV scenes your cool with the bike and the spoon.

  • thank you :)

  • How are you mounting your camera on your bike?

  • hahaha n00dlez!

  • :) !

  • oh hot chick at 1:30

  • that bike shot was hella sick.
