  • @dukeruke. Nope, he said, "I'm too *great*...."

  • Paul is such a badass till this day!

  • Whenever it shows George I just want to hug and squeeze him for some reason.

  • We met Ken Scott at the studio in 2008 and he asked us permission to cut a short video inside studio 2 when we had it booked, so we ceased operations for a moment just for Ken. We also found out Brian Wilson was at the studio 2 days earlier. The Abbey Road mic tech was the same guy who worked with the Beatles, nice chap.

  • @rockermanmatt it's apples and oranges man! The Beatles always wanted to be at the "toppermost of the poppermost" wheras Jagger and Richards have been quoted to say that they always wanted to be the best blues band to ever come out of England! jus' sayin'

  • why does the pitch sound so different?

  • WTF is wrong with G. Harrison at 3:54

  • @nbritoc88 I want to know what he's saying at 3:00

  • @dukeruke hahaha, i think he said: ``I´m too crazy, i thought it was twist and shout´´

  • So, this was about a month after the RFK assasination and about four months after martin luther king. this was called "the long hot summer" in the USA, characterized by violent race riots. People were keying up for the two political conventions. the democrats were in chicago where there were giant anti-war protests, then the chicago police attacked the demonstrators. that was in august. about a month later the republicans nominated richard nixon who became president. bit 'o history.

  • I like the towels on the drums, Lol!

  • Ringo Looks Pissed..like man here we go again..

  • chukachukachuka

  • How imagine a life without The Beatles?

  • @WAM626 if the Beatles hadnt come along we would have had to invent them

  • thanks for posting! this is a groovy video! thanks again!

  • 10 people are stupid

  • uhh, why does ringo sound like a chipmunk?

  • The four of them creating magic like no four ever would again.

  • John: "i busted a string"

  • simply GODS

  • GEORGE HARRISON: its doesnt go like that, it goes like that, but it GOES like that!

    WE LOVE YOU GEORGE!

  • some tard is trying to give a metronome beat from mouth. don't ever edit these video

  • 10 people clicked on the *DIS I LIKE* Button.

  • forever and ever

  • Although I believe the tales of the misery the Beatles endured during the White Album, I have yet to see some real tangible evidence. Everytime I see a video of them or hear outtakes of them from the White Album, they always seem to be having a good time. What's up with that?!?!?

  • @casestudyification I've heard them say several times that when a camera or guest was in the room they would "behave". That's the only reason I've been able to come up with.

  • What were they playing from 0:15 - 0:27? Also, what was that at 0:45 - 0:55?

  • @JumpStartation Probably something acid wrote for them.

  • @TryxCo Acid?

  • @JumpStartation at :45-:55 its a song called" I hate to see the evening sun go down" its on their second album. Also at :15-:27 i think its just them messing with song Hey Jude

  • haha Ringo at 5:40.

  • i always thought paul should have had strings play the first nah nah nah - then alternated with them ....still , what do i know?

Hes sir macca ....and i'm just a shithead.

  • 0:38 That's a strange version of Hey Jude.

  • hoyl crap i get ME trousers stuck too!

  • Paul looks sooo hot!!

  • Where did you get this video? Tell me pleasee!! :O

  • @PoeMikami Read the video description.

  • Paul & Ringo should tour with Jullian Lennon & Eric Clapton. Let Shawn play the guitar since his singing is lame.

  • @MELLSBAD no dhani love?

  • @Koolkitties Forgot about him but why not? Hope he's been practicing since the concert for George.

  • @MELLSBAD Perhaps not the greatest idea, with respect, considering that George 'poached' Eric Clapton's wife whereupon Eric promptly went and did likewise with George's wife Patti. To be fair, Eric and George remained good friends and Eric even plays guitar on 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps.' As for Julian Lennon, he's probably a bit wary of the whole thing bearing in mind what happened to his father.

  • he he he heehhehh

    huhuhu huhuh !

  • "oh come on Julian,," Paul.

    Nice video, thanks.

  • This is wonderful rare film.

  • These recordings are really LIVE

    Digital recording SUCK!

  • 2:12, john's british! accent

  • 2:11, johns british accent

  • Paul highest tune is IMPRESSIVE.

  • My 10th birthday. God I love the Beatles.

  • "its the second one out of every three and its the one"- haha gotta love John

  • Oh man I totally know what George is talking about lol

  • history being made

  • Ringo singing=<3 :D

  • Great to the four of them working together. Knowing each others strengths and weaknesses. Apparently they would stay up all night to a get a song right. Great to see Yoko not around also.

  • @ADAM79929 You said it! Yoko's sour and never ending presence was the beginning of the end.

  • @casestudyification Although I love the Beatles and think that John Lennon was a musical genius, it is a very little known fact that he was an insanely jealous lover! It was John who wanted Yoko's "never-ending presence" in the studio and elsewhere. In more than one biography out there, it is written how J

  • I wonder if the Stones were there for any of these sessions... 4:57 is similar to the Sympathy for the Devil intro written/recorded about the same time.

  • they all look soooooooooo tired :(

  • Love that they're jammin out to Little Richard at the beginning. I found out recently that one of my favorite early Beatles tune was inspired by Little Richard. Paul said he was thinking of him when he wrote 'I'm Down'.

  • I love the peek into the process that this raw footage gives

  • Dans la liste des chansons au debut, il y en a une qui s'appel ''Je Croyais'' et une qui s'appel ''Je Lis Dans Tes Yeux''

  • What did Paul say at 5:35?

  • nothing but creative genius...........purity

  • @rickvuurwerk a dutchman with taste

  • @rickvuurwerk 10...And I think they all liked your comment...

  • @rickvuurwerk TEN

  • @asdf36254 you sound like an idiot. the beatles were much more than a band - they changed the world and music forever. FOREVER. the music spans from long ballads to complete noise. the stones have nothing on the beatles in terms of being diverse - creative and inspiring. the stones were simply rock..nothing special.

  • @asdf36254 That was when the rolling Stones were Brian Jones' band after he died they brought in Mick Taylor and when he walked out they got in Ronnie Wood- who wasn't the most creative player around. and since then not one good hit or memorable single.

  • @idle44 opinions are like as*%#les, everyones got one and they all stink but your own

  • "How are we doing Al"

  • this is an amazing insight

  • thank for a look into the creative PROCESS

  • The magic was that they were like children in the studio -- childlike genius

  • Love this glimpse! Most of their songs whoever wrote them, were collaborative efforts....NOT manufactured corporate products.

  • Without Ono, The Beatles are the best damn band in the whole fucking WORLD!...But look who had to ruin it...The really ugly Jap who can't sing worth shit..

  • it's wonderful to see these videos and watch the beatles' creativity unfold. it gives us a glimpse of the creation of the brilliant songs we all know so well

  • what do john and paul say to each other right at the end? i can't hear it

  • @marielapenn something about being hot i think.

  • did john call george martin "HAL" like from 2001 a space odyseey? that made me laugh out loud. i'm sure they saw george martin as some stuffy guy behind a wall and all they saw of him was just his voice comming in over the monitors.

  • Wow,McCartney sure was one hell of a natural singer in the 60's-Sadly he lost his range by the end of the 70's/into 80's and now it's a croak,a shadow of its formar glory,he sings this song in a different key and really struggles nowadays. Luckily, while in The Beatles his singing and songwriting were awesome (as was Lennons)

  • @thenowuk i disagree actually. For a 67 year old man he can sing pretty well and sounds amazing live. He was bloody amazing in the 70's too (e.g My Love, With a little Luck)He was good in the 80's too (Say say say and No more Lonely nights e.g)

Same goes for the 90's (Flaming pie). Even in the noughties he continued to shine and produced slow sweet songs such as Jenny Wren but wild rockers such as Nothing Too Much Just Outta Sight too. What I mean to say is that. Paul's still got it.

  • @MeIsTheWalrus You misunderstood,I'm not knocking him,I own most of those songs-just pointing out that his range has gone(the range of notes that he can sing)-even his speaking voice is very croaky now. Must be frustrating as his voice was amazingly versatile in his prime. Live,he has the others in his band smooth out the harmonies and higher notes and changes the songs to a lower key. Noone at 67 can sing as they did in their youth but he can still belt out a screamer as he did on NTMJOOf Sight

  • @MeIsTheWalrus You bet-and I'm seeing him July10th! Paul keeps non-violence and love alive..

  • @TheDorr71 HOW WAS MCARTNEY CONCERT? IM THINKING ABOUT SEEING HIM AGAIN FOR THE 8TH TIME IN PHILLY IN AUGUST, BUT DONT KNOW IF I WANT TO SHELL OUT 150 A TICKET AGAIN,ALTHOUGH THIS COULD BE THE LAST TIME AROUND!

  • this is so gooood!

  • Looks nice how Geoerge Harrison is on command of the band in this video

  • @oznermo1 George was greatly talented, but G Martin didn't see him as a songwriter. He saw George as only a guitarist.

  • That was neat :)

  • when paul sang that note on 2:47 i knew he was gonna try and go up. I was like"no don't do it!, You can't hit it!" oh well, no one's perfect

  • what a nice voice!

  • this is not the studio 2 of Abbey Road, these are Trident Studios in Soho, London.

  • I are new to the beatles did they use pro tools or logic for the recording? peace.

  • @underpants123

    defenitly not.

  • @underpants123 logic obviously, remember the apple?

  • Being a Beatle meant that no matter what you were fucking around on-it was going to be fucking BRILLIANT when you're done with it!

  • Good to know I'm not alone when I get my bass mallet caught in my pant leg.

  • @soaper4

heh heh. no your not. thats why i wear shorts ;)

  • Lennon = Don Quixote + Maccartney = Sancho Panchas

  • THE geniuses...

  • right in the middle of the white album sessions. does anyone else have any videos taken during those sessions here on youtube?

  • The 1968 Apple promos have Paul performing Helter Skelter and Blackbird on acoustic guitar. Maybe you've seen that before. And there's more footage from the same day as this on the Anthology videos.

  • A very interesting look into the Beatles creative process. This had to have been pretty close to the time when Ringo walked out for a brief period.

  • yeah youre right he looks sick and tired of being there

  • @Derby14 it was on the white album sessions he went on holiday

  • what a bunch of cut ups

  • AND IT GOES LIKE THAT

  • I thought I had seen every beatles video ever before this! Thanks for posting.

  • My gawd,

the beatles will forever be the best band<3

I was smiling like hell when I watched this.

  • Good stuff.

Nice to see they got the ending of "Hey Jude" right!

  • 5:00... Poor jealous eyes of John...

  • evans :P

  • "Mal third string "

    mal evan was a Beatle

  • good goob john

  • All that belting out on 'Oh Darling', 'Long Tall Sally','Helter Skelter', 'Drive My Car'..and dozens of others I can't quite recall right now, whether sung on record or at the hundreds of concerts he has peformed at is bound to take it 's toll...but you are so right...I reckon he and Ringo should bow out of live performance in 2012, the 50th Anniversary of the Beatles recording their first Lp and single.........

  • ...and get together with thier fellow 60's mates, the 'Stones', Clapton, Brian Wilson, Joe Cocker, Donovan, and more recent acts of renown and put on concerts to honour England's most celebrated sons at venues like the CAVERN CLUB and even on ABBEY ROAD!!!

  • ROFL! DONOVAN??? THAT PIECE OF SHIT? that was like the fucking gwen stefani of the 60s gtfo

  • Sure you aren't confusing Donovan with Jason Donovan?..Donovan is an excellent artist from the 60's...compared to Dylan but not really like Dylan...songs like 'Mellow Yellow', 'Atlantis', 'Hurdy Gurdy Man'...worth checking out laddie...and definitely not in the category of excrement..and nothing like the intercourse inclined Miss Stefani.

  • @terrythekittie Seriously???? Or is it that some that can...are just to intimidating for others?!??? Or most likely because NO ONE can or will ever be able to sing like 'They (Ringo & Paul AKA the LIVING BEATLES) STILL CAN! ;)

  • This turned out to be the biggest hit of the sixties....which is saying a lot, considering the incredible music which came out of that decade.

  • I was exactly 2 mos,3 wks,and 2 days old when this was filmed!!!

  • WOW! is all I can say

  • yeah its definitely in a different key

  • are they playing hey jude in G?

  • no in f sharp

  • in F#

  • Real instruments, real creativity, real talent.... .....where did popular music go wrong since then ??

  • @funkmasterjee PAUL IS STILL HERE

  • @funkmasterjee Disco and rap is the new disco!

  • I guess pop music evolved, even if we don't like it.

  • @funkmasterjee true, it's because most people in music now are fake and more interested in fame and fortune.

  • @funkmasterjee the profit monster killed it =/

  • @funkmasterjee oh geez..... yeah, because since the beatles there have only been robots playing through imaginary instruments.....

    ......

  • @funkmasterjee To autotune hell.

  • @funkmasterjee thats very short-sighted, just because they are just about the most inspirational and creative doesnt mean there hasnt been things that are creative in music since. your just not looking hard enough

  • @funkmasterjee Come on, stop whining. Grab an instrument and do it better than all the modern shmocks...

  • It wouldn't matter how long the session was, if the Beatles were there, i'd be there every second. i love 4:33- "nah nah nah nah, NAH NAH!"

  • genious

  • I'd love to sit thru the whole eight hours, if the cameras were there the whole time.

    historic.

  • I know how you feel... :)

  • here it is 41 yrs later, to the day. and i still love them like i did back then. i'm having fun teaching beatles to my grandkids!

  • "I'm to great to do Twist and Shout" Lol O George

  • i always thought it was sad how hw was ( or was not ) with Julian--especially how John felt so abandoned when he was young.. and altho he tried to do right by Sean, it always felt cruel how he abandoned Julian... so sad

  • I love seeing them chipping away at fantastic songs like that. Did anyone catch what john and paul were saying at the end there?

  • lol 2:41-2:44 who was tht?! ringo?

oh and wat did paul say @ 5:36

  • Nah, I think it was John. It's the kinda thing he would do lol.

  • Even in this filmed outtake, some great sounds and musicianship in Paul's vocal delivery... (Well, it's the Beatles, of course !)

  • Ringo: "I keep getting my trousers caught..."

    John: "Then take 'em off"

    LOL!

  • john wanted to totally take this from paul as george.. ringo said im got this thing...it was all PAUL. they knew it was good.... next paul did "let it be".. oops .. better than your stuff.... also no drugs no yoko... no religion .. george was superior soon .. but paul took it away at that time.

  • Haha... I somewhat agree with you, but you don't express your point that clearly.

"John wanted to totally take this from Paul as george". I'm not really sure what you mean.

Paul was at the height of his powers in this clip though.

  • Great footage! It's great to see the outakes.

  • Ringo: I keep gettin' me trousers stuck on the pedal!

    John: Take 'em off!

these guys are truly heaven sent!!

  • Yoko ignored julian and told John to do the same

  • Listen UNO DE ESOS DIAS by DOSPUNTOCERO. Great song and beautiful girl!

  • Whoops I meant Julian

  • 0: 47 paul looks cute:)

  • he looks cute most of the time

    (:

  • did he just came up with Hey Jude liek this???wtf

  • not perfect my friend but I dont dump my children thanks
